Also as someone whose mother was 40 when she had me, while I will say that I imagine it's much different an experience than when your mother is 30, hearing someone having a baby at 42 doesn't seem a big deal to me.

While the risks of some medical issues for the child increase a lot when the mother gets older, it isn't "irresponsible". It is a decision, and you accept the risks, that's all (like in all the decisions you make anyway). Grats to them.

And they even already give him a nickname, guess what that is? "Marine" Jessica wrote: "My husband went to the ceremony for his brand new start at the poker association. Now he is a father, he will be more responsible and work harder. I will cheer for him at home, Marine dad fighting! Sorry I can't go with you, and thank you." "New start at the poker association" and "more responsible" are kind of contradictory statements.

http://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-living/pregnancy-week-by-week/in-depth/high-risk-pregnancy/art-20047012 ..Advanced maternal age. Pregnancy risks are higher for mothers age 35 and older. Lifestyle choices. Smoking cigarettes, drinking al.... But how is jessica 42. DAFUQ. I dont understand asian ageing i guess. Edit: Humans are designed to live for about 30-40 years in total. (the moment your hair turns grey basicly nature wanted you to die soon, thanks to good living standards, you dont.) Pregnancy should be best age 16-25 i guess, at least biologically. In Society 30 is the new 15 and no one ever thinks of old age or death..well another matter.

That is false. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Life_expectancy#Life_expectancy_variation_over_time Having survived until the age of 21, a male member of the English aristocracy in this period could expect to live: 1200–1300: to age 64 Mean age 64 with all the insanitary crap and medical bogus of the middle ages. Just because a cat has a litter of 5, of which 2-3 die in childhood, doesn't mean the cat was designed to live up to the point it gets grayer – which incidentally is about the mean life span when not correcting for childhood deaths (7-9 years old). The point I'm trying to make is that the median life expectancy at birth is not a good indicator of genetic decay/actual age-related death. /off-topic Congrats to them!
