Season 9
Another season of Liquibets concludes, another champion is crowned, and another recap is written. With the conclusion of all the 2014 WCS Season 3 tournaments, WCS Global Finals, and HOT6 CUP, liquibetters finally get a room to breathe. Now we will take this opportunity to reflect back upon another great season of Liquibets. Since Season 8 produced absolutely no Terran champions, Season 9 of liquibets was a time of victory and celebration for Terran lovers as both WCS EU and WCS AM finals consisted of TvTs and GSL had INnoVation giving King of Kongs soO, yet another 2nd place finish. Although WCS Global Finals liquibets were stopped right after the quarter-finals, the unpredictable results everyone saw occur in this specific tournament most likely made people happy that there were no bets to vote on. (Although, Life fans are probably pissed  ) And of course, who could forget the tournament that is still so fresh in everyone's minds, the 2014 HOT6 CUP? Flash? Out. soO? Out. herO? Out. PartinG? Out. sKyHigh? In?! MarineKing? In?! WTF?! Although the original King of Kongs once again came through for us, (disappointingly for many) no one can deny that this season of liquibets was EPIC beyond all reasons because of the amazing results we were given from each and every tournament.
With that being said, no season of Liquibets can truly be recapped without talking about the ever popular battle for the Top 10 spot. It's truly funny how the past couple of seasons have all underwent the same pattern. One guy dominates for a long time (BeaTeR), then out of nowhere, someone overthrows him (xxxxxxb), and then just went you think he's going to win it all, he doesn't even end up in the final Top 10 in the recap. But at least, it gives TL a great story to write about. A gigantic congratulations from TL to the Top 10 that finished this season. What an amazing neck-and-neck fight that was up until the very end.
It was a tough battle... It was a close battle... It was a nail-biting-gut-wrenching-edge-of-your-seats battle... But unfortunately, there can ever only just be one winner. And for this season, Myz receives that coveted trophy. He fought for almost 6 months to get to the top and then when he got there, he fought viciously to stay at the top. Well, take a breather Myz, because you won in the end.
So without further ado, CONGRATULATIONS to Myz!!!
Thank you very much to everyone who participated for Season 9. Season 10 should be starting up soon so stay tuned and get those bets ready!

I was doing really well at one point this season, like Top 30 or something IIRC? But then I bet wrong on one of the finals and never recovered

I was top 10 for a while, but then Blizzcon happened and I dropped 100+ places . Every season I do really great at the 1 point predictions, but always get fucked with the 3+ point predictions...

It hasn't started yet. Season 10 will probably be with the 2015 WCS season 1.

I usually use my own system that I developed halfway in. But I also had pressure from being so high up and I lost my head. I would pick sOs in isolation

I was in the top 5 for a long time, right at the start of this season. Then it all went rapidly downhill after the WCS Challenger matches ended, so sad. Maybe next season I'll have better luck :D
