For Protoss I think Zest is a lock, but the other two are more interesting. For terran its probably between TaeJa and INno, leaning towards TaeJa I'd say. As for Zerg, Life has been better recently, but soO has been more consistent during the whole year. I'd lean towards soO. For best player overall, probably Zest if only because Life and soO will split votes. Not sure about best team, probably Jin Air, as they have been more well rounded this year, while Zest has been carrying KT.
This is the easiest choice since Mvp's 2011. He is by far the best performer this year making ro8+ in every tournament he's been in except Blizzcon making him more consistent than even soO. In addition, he's won 3 Premiere Korean events and even stands to win a 4th. At this point this category is a lock for Zest. Anything else would be a joke.
This is by far the hardest one to call. 3 consecutive gsl finals vs a Blizzcon and DH win. soO isn't as impressive outside the gsl and Life didn't do too bad earlier in the year as far as Korea goes. He would've been in the finals of one of gsl season 1 had soO not barely knocked him out in the semis. It's close, but in the end Life peaked higher at the end of the year and actually took home some gold for the Zergs.
First off, Maru should at least receive a mention. Second, Taeja's continued consistency on the international level trumps a gsl title and everything Bomber did. People trashed Taeja all year saying he just munched on foreigners and weak Koreans for wins, yet as time went on this year he managed to slay Zest twice, soO once, Solar once, had a winning record against Life, and smashed Bogus. For some reason he sucks in WCS, but I really think he deserves the benefit of the doubt at this point. Quantity > quality of accomplishments for Taeja.

Zest won a bunch of shit. Flash won something finally. Good code S representation. SPL winners. Easy call.
Best Match: Life vs Taeja g2
No idea why Taeja vs soO g3 isn't up there. It's like the only other rival for game of the year imo.
Best series: Taeja vs soO (cause fuck the options)
Again. I have no clue why this one isn't up there. Games 1-3 were some of the best TvZ I've ever seen. Flash vs Bbyong is the only other series that can contend, though I can understand why it's not up there what with being online.
best series, how come Polt vs Rain or Classic at IEM Cologne doesnt get a mention, those were awesome series where Polt won during the Blink era vs two top tier kespa protoss. Maru vs Soulkey GSL S2 quarter finals was pretty good too no? dat bio micro OP :D
It's funny how many KR-fans on TL discount Taeja's success, but it turns out actual Koreans think he ranks among the best of the best.
I'm positively surprised that Flash didn't get nominated, negatively surprised that Maru didn't. His insane achievements throughout 3/4 of the year are going so criminally overlooked.
Zest/soO/Taeja KT soO player of the year
Apart from all the other best games/series people are nominating, I'd like to chime in on behalf of the TvT Flash and Bbyong played at TB's SanDISK Invitational. The first two games are stupendously good. I also loved the INno/soO Code S finals. Loved, loved, loved. Easily my second fav of the past two years, behind INno/Soulkey.
I'm a bit surprised Jin Air got nominated for best team over SKT T1, who made it to the Proleague grand final match and got not only 2 golds in GSL, but 4 silvers in a row as well. Jin Air had a good year in terms of improvement, going from 2nd to last place in 2012-13 Proleague (as Team 8; ahead of only....EG-TL ) to 3rd-4th in 2013 is mighty impressive, but I think SKT T1 overall had a better year.
Opinion based on the results from players over the whole year: soO, Taeja, Zest KT best team of the year Zest best player of the year Life vs Taeja best map/game of the year (out of those anyway).
Life - World Championship and a DreamHack win's puts him ahead of soO for me.
Zest - This is probably the easiest choice, two GSL titles and a KeSPA cup says it all for the best protoss.
TaeJa - A model of consistency for all SC2 players, three premier titles and multiple 2nd and 3rd-4th place finishes in which solidifies his legendary status in SC2.
Best Player : Life - A very hard choice, But his run against all odds at the WCS World Championship gives him my vote for POTY.
Best Team : KT - A team that boasts some of the best players with the likes of Zest and Flash plus their Proleage win cements them as the best team this year.
Life might be right now a bit higher than SoO, but if we consider consistency during the whole year(or at least the longer part of it), SoO definitely takes the cake.
Also, strange that MarineKing isn't on the list, huehuehue.
Very curious why those mirror BoXs were nominated over Taeja vs Soo. Even if they limit it to within the Korean + WCS circuit, there were definitely more memorable series than those.
weird choices for the game of the year award. only taeja vs life was decent, the other ones weren't really good. no idea why polt vs Hero or taeja vs life (IEM katowice) aren't there.
