About the retweets thing, I was very surprised earlier when I saw that they had already 2400 followers after three weeks of activity. And yeah, most of them are fake.

I still feel like the MVP team's decision to just bail on their team because apparently they hate playing in Proleague was a little misguided. There aren't exactly a lot of non-KeSPA teams that are reputable and actively recruiting.

Koreans who join foreign teams, for the most part aren't looking for long-term stability, and they don't care about the team, they're not trying to be integrated into the team. They are looking to get some free trips to foreign events, get some money, and then go back to a Korean team (see: Innovation, Golden 2012-2013). Point being, the shadiness of the team is irrelevant.

Point being, the shadiness of the team is irrelevant. 1) I think you're giving "shady" teams too much credit by assuming that they'll give these players salary and free trips to foreign events. If they're doing that, they're not shady. From his time in MVP, Super at least got exposure in SPL. What'll happen if this team is not legit is he won't get to go to any tournaments, and unless he can make it back into Code S (which is certainly doable for Super) he'll fall out of the public eye and it'll be only harder to get a new team. 2) What Korean team does Super "go back" to? All the remaining Korean teams are in SPL. If the reason MVP players bolted is to avoid SPL then he's got nowhere to go back to. 3) Golden and INnoVation are completely irrelevant here because they were on very LEGITIMATE foreign teams that weren't shady at all. Teams like Axiom, Acer, mYi, AI, Millenium have proven stable teams. This is exactly what "Invasion" has NOT done. If Invasion turns out to be as legit as those teams, then this isn't a bad move like Super at all, but the fact that they're signing up Koreans who have been out of the spotlight for years like Noblesse and TOP is not a good sign. It's just not indicative of a well-run team.

It's just not indicative of a well-run team. You are right, you cant compare it with Inno or Golden. But you must admit that even Shady Teams can have their pros for the koreans: In MVP you did not get much money as Super, most possible is he just got his place in the teamhouse and food and no money at all. Despite SPL he could not attend at any other events then GSL and at these other events you can make money even when you are not the best. Joining a "shady team" can give the players money, at least for sometime. If he wouldnt get paid, he would stay at GEM, there is no reason else then money to join the team. And as a korean player you allways have to think: Okay military service is at horizen, i have skipped at least some education to play SC II at this high lvl, now i need to earn something of it till i have to start a new phase in my life, after the military service which I have to do soon. And dont make the mistake of thinking those 20 year old koreans do not understand "shady teams" or can not see the possibility of them imploding. But they gamble, because its the money they want to earn and there is nothing wrong if you want to earn money for that what you do 10 hours a day.

But they gamble, because its the money they want to earn and there is nothing wrong if you want to earn money for that what you do 10 hours a day. You also need to understand that if a Korean pro is approached by a foreign team they see it as the most amazing opportunity for them. They become naive, and the language barrier and the fact that their culture involves so much respect makes it so much easier for a shady team to trick a Korean player to join their team. The big question is: what have they promised the Korean players? Are they being honest with them, or are they using baits like "in 2015 we WILL be the best European team and we WILL have money to send you wherever you want"? The most important thing is that the Koreans are made aware of the extreme risk that this team brings. If they still want to proceed playing for this team then that's their choice. I just hope they're playing open cards with their players.

About retweet / FB... well if you ever tried to "monetize" a Facebook publication, you get like 1000% more like in an hour from random people in egyptia (happened with my ex-band. We tried to pay FB to have more visibility and he got 3000like from egyptians) so it could be that too. Dunno how it works for twitter. 'cause they are going to wreck everyone and as far as i know you get nothing winning pandaria.

I mean, their choice on purchasing social media attention is foolish, and using a ringer in an amateur contest is deplorable, but that doesn't mean they are scamming the players. I wonder how things progress in the "pandaria league". Haha ![]() But i don't think the koreans will be used that much since it's still played at french time and i don't think the KR will be happy to play at night for "nothing" since there is nothing to gain. But it's true that having ex code S can be demorelizing since the first division (where Master/GM teams are) have little chance to win against ex code S players. And i'm really off topic in this thread. I can give you info via PM (but you could ask pandaria people that are on TL, they would have more reliable info). There's a statement from the league about the issue. But it's not really a drama for now. EDIT : aAa is calling InvasionEsport out

I'm an admin of the Pandaria Wars League. The question is not about to be more "professionnal" but more sportler. The league is open to the international since the start. Invasion doesn't makes any mistake about the participation of KOR in the league. My point of view not as admin pandaria : I think like a lot of ppl here that's a scam. But I think the best thing is to let it work, and we will see what it will be there in the future... I'm just disgusted to see all french team say that they want to promote the e-sport & doen't work anymore in this sense when a team like Invasion is coming. kiss kiss love

We shall see what the future holds. Personally, I don't think Invasion is trying to scam the players or the audience in any way, but they are definitely walking a fine line. Ringers in amateur leagues and purchased retweets are not signs of a long-lasting organization. I hope Invasion reads this message.
