I would be so delighted if they managed to get Bomber back.

I dont want to sound negative, but when you look at their roster they have so many players that I dont think picking up new ones is not the options to go for StarTale... Hack has been doing better recently, Life is the best player over there for sure, Curious is a bit better than every other player left on the team I guess? Some mercenaries could happen...

And they could let go of even more players to replace them with more suitable ones.

I heard there will be a new sponsor annoucement for ST right? That could change a lot if it is a sponsor like what Prime managed to get...

Maybe they have something planned? Maybe they want to move on from the Starcraft phase of their lives.

She gave ST exposure through her personal sponsorships and their commercials, so that was the benefit. However, if they're focusing on proleague, she's useless to the team, and they could use that money to spend on a player who might actually benefit their current plans. Gotta trim the fat.

Gotta trim the fat. the comparison isnt about casting, its about contributing to a team through means other than skill and results, which is a generality that includes casting... geez it wasnt that complicated of an analogy lol.

I would love to see Squirtle, PartinG, Bomber and Life working together again but its unlikely, the dream would have been them and Aphrodite still on ST too....Oh well I will support them wherever they go.

Many of TL players weren't that good before joining TL, HerO was hardly known at all, Taeja was... well he was a very good terran but far from the stomping monster he is now. I'd be curious to see what Aphrodite could achieve in TL. Maybe she can become even good enough to actually compete in real SC2 tournaments. Professional is a cheap title. Professional is someone who lives out of it. If she is living out of playing StarCraft 2, she is a professional StarCraft 2 player. Normally professionals are better than amateurs because they put much more time into it, they can improve in a more suited environment, etc but that's not necessarily always the case. Especially in esports.

I'd actually love there to be a writeup one day about those two pickups. Pretty much the best Korean pickups ever. Skilled players getting exposure to tournaments and all the while improving with their time on the team .

Especially in esports. If you translate literally 'professional' and 'gamer' and put together the two words then you're right, but it doesn't work like that. In reality, when people say ' professional starcraft 2 player' they mean someone who consistently participates in tournaments, earns enough money to (almost) make a living (as you said), and is skilled enough to compete with most of the other progamers. All 3 of these aspects are very important. That's why I wouldn't call Aphrodite a progamer.

In professional baseball, extremely young players (high school, early college) get signed to teams all the time because the team has a sort of interest in them. It's only fair she gets a chance at a team if they think she could improve and help the team if someone like Maru gets a chance because a team sees potential in him despite him being a kid at 13-14. He developed into a star, she got better but didn't develop into a GSL Code S player (winning a Zowie, good accomplishment, but not Proleague obv). I simply don't think she put in the time to tighten her play to the level that some of the other top players do. Work ethic goes a long way, but I don't follow her practice regimine =)

Rotterdam is a caster, so of course we don't hold him to that. I never really fully understood what she does, if she's not a progamer.
