WTF??????

I feel like Kespa players overestimate foreign teams too much, kind of like what happened with Innovation.

This smells like disbanding

SKT still has plenty of players like Classic, soO, and Soulkey for instance

Plus, there are a lot of free agents around. SC2 felt like having a resurgence lately, I wouldn't go for #dedgaem just because players are not extending their contracts. Fantasy might probably retire and wasn't fielded for ages, PartinG might just want to attend more than "just" proleague since he already had a sweet taste of foreign fandom. Especially since SKT still got soO, Soulkey and Classic, combined with Innovation being a free agent and that certain list that still includes some players that are at least on the edge of relevancy/significance - I don't think they'll disband.

Hey, EG won WEC Starcraft and WEC Dota2, something about 80k of prize pool in total, they maybe can think to acquire some Sc2 players.

It's not a money issue, it simply isn't worth it for EG to get more SC2 players.

Yes I know, because only Jaedong (and sometime HuK) are bringing moneys to EG. Suppy, Xenocider, ThorZain and Demuslim are just a waste of money for EG, it's about 2 years that they don't have decent results. But if EG signs some top koreans it will be a good investiment for them

Since 2 years ago Sc2 wasn't worth for EG because their players suck

How do you know? I heard several times that they (EG) are focusing to have some NA players (thats why IdrA, HuK, Incontrol, Suppy etc). A EG team without them is very unlikely, but without EU players is possible. ANd you dont know what EG sponsors want (someone said Monster Energy doesnt care about results, only players with attraction (Stephano!) to community.

This is so weird... Parting and Fantasy don't shock me much, but Rain leaving does strike me as odd.

My SKT fanboyism lives and dies with Rain. Best of luck to whatever team picks up the best player in the world <3

Inno didnt (and still dont) like overseas and nonetheless he did join a foreign team. Parting and Rain likes overseas and want more experience at it.

so, i guess afreeca and bw would be the one thing that everyone expects from Fantasy, however, in that one interview, bisu claimed that fantasy still worked hard in sc2. dunno

Seems to me Kespa is not paying well.
Good chance for EG to refresh their team.

Considering they've all said they're looking to go to foreign teams and travel to other tournaments I think its a fair bet that they'll be on non-Proleague teams. Not that many foreigner teams in Proleague.

How many players are actually looking for a Kespa team now? How will they refill these spots? Rookies?

Big sponsor doesn't mean they are gonna keep up a starcraft team if it isn't financially beneficial

They are still sponsoring for SC2 Proleague. I think keeping a team to compete in the league you sponsor is not a bad idea.
