This tournament is way too cool, such hype!

Edit: 4 of the 5 best foreigners, let's see what they can do vs some of Koreas very, very best.

Edit2: Oh shit Major was replaced, so we still have 3 and Huk is also quite good again I think^^. So is Kane!
Maru and Serral are probably top 5.

This is the tournament where Flash and JD restore the faith of the wayward ones by going with dual perfect records to the final where they clash in an epic Bo7 featuring bio-mech, mech, pure bio, skyterran, swarmhost/muta, roach/hydra/viper, nydus allins, ling/infestor, and ONLY BANELINGS styles.

I think they will do better than people expect. Imo, the real strength of a korean progamer is in a format that allows for preparation.

Are brackets rigged already for Jaedong-Flash in main tournament?

On the other hand, sOs-Maru finals, let's go, Kim Yoo Jin. <3
Both need those points, even if Maru's chances in this Code S look good so far.

Jokes aside, Zest and Flash returned to North American IEM second season in a row.

i think the strength of a korean progamer is that they practice more and have a bigger pool of talent to gauge their play against... theyre just better

otherwise bunny and sen winning tournaments wouldnt be such a big deal

I only bought the FanExpo ticket. I can't find anything about a separate IEM ticket, so I assume that one ticket is enough (And is already expensive enough)

And from the IEM website:

Tournament area is accessible for anyone with access to the EXPO

So is there really no way of paying for only an IEM ticket? I'm not exactly interested in the Expo, but I'd love to watch my first live event.

He's going to win this season WCS KR anyway, with a final reverse 4-3 against Flash.

OMG the Korean skill foreign trio, Jin Air duo, and the all of the best non Kespa koreans (only INnoVation is missing). I say all those together have a decent chance of not getting KT Roasted by God and his right arm.
Make JD vs Flash happen please

it is a brain fart to think that there would be "groups" in a bracket but in fairness the visual design of those images with players listed 4x4 really makes you think of groups

Finals would be epic in terms of endless hype for sure, but I don't think that it would be epic game wise, JD isn't doing so well and I think that Flash in his current form will destroy JD.

On the other hand, Maru is here! Freaking YES! Apollo was sad the other day because he miss Proleague already, but I've told him that he can always look from the bright side, now when Proleague is over, every other big tournament will have a lot of top KeSPA players and competition will be fierce!

Oh fuck Major was replaced, I got confused, well Huk is pretty good these days again I heard? But then we still have 3 .

Oh and Kane is very good, the lineup ist still very strong for foreigners!

No Huk is so far away from good, soooo many crucial and stupid mistakes

But I think there are better player there and he won't make it to the finals
And unfortunately JD is very far from being good ATM

i think when hes mentioning vortix and welmu, hes referring to the comment that these are the 4 of the "top5 foreigners"

in other words, snute, scarlett, bunny, major are not all in the top 5 best foreigners, vortix welmu etc are better than one or some of those mentioned?

Its hard to say because Vortix and Welmu haven't been as visible recently as MajOr. To stay a top foreigner in the eye of the public you have to do stuff recently, which Vortix and Welmu haven't really done. I expect we'll get a better idea of how they are doing after WCS Europe starts.

As to the tournament, really happy about the lineup. It has a good distribution of top players from the different WCS regions, and some strong foreign fan favourites. Its also really important WCS points wise featuring Scarlett, Snute, Bunny, and Maru who are all on the cusp of qualifying for Blizzcon.

This tournament is way too cool, such hype!

Edit: 4 of the 5 best foreigners, let's see what they can do vs some of Koreas very, very best.

on the list i see Scarlett, Snute, Bunny, who is your fourth?

Oh fuck Major was replaced, I got confused, well Huk is pretty good these days again I heard? But then we still have 3 .

Oh and Kane is very good, the lineup ist still very strong for foreigners!

All these names after Scarlett and Snute while Vortix and Welmu are ignored. :I

Well I only mentioned players at the tournament. My top 5 would be Scarlett, Snute, Bunny, Major and Vortix in no particular order, closely followed by Welmu and Nerchio. Of course Sen is also top5 when you count the taiwanese/chinese scene.
Maru and Serral are probably top 5.

Anything to do with his 17 years old he made in july? Maybe he was not participating in foreign tournaments because he had school last year?

IEM Toronto will be my first Barcraft. I'm praying Flash makes it to the final day.

If Flash wins his GSL group and then makes it to final day of IEM....hype will be unreal in that bar & grill
