Miguel " Majestic" Julià Rubio has signed a pro player contract with mousesports and will join the club's StarCraft II division. The 17-year-old Spanish Protoss player has recently won the LVP Gamergy event, after a 2:0 victory over VortiX.
Mousesports has signed one of the most promising StarCraft II players in Europe currently: Miguel "Majestic Juliá Rubio will join the SC2 division. The Spanish Protoss player signed his pro player contract after leaving his former team Spectre in June 2014. "Majestic has shown his talent in multiple tournaments and we want to help him to do the next step. We are looking forward to work with him and see him rise to top", says mousesports StarCraft II Head Coordinator Markus "mouz MaX" Kemper.
Rubio was awarded "2013 Best Protoss Player" by the Spanish gaming website trasgo.net and is considered to be one of the countries best players already. In his recent tournament, the LVP Gamergy LAN, he was able to defeat former mousesports player VortiX 2:0 in the Grand Final, to take home the title as well as €700 EUR prize money.
In his first official tournament for mousesports, Rubio will be part of the team's lineup for the TeamStory Cup playoffs before attending DreamHack Valencia in mid July.
Miguel "Majestic" Julià Rubio: "By joining mousesports I expect to bring my career to the next level. I'll be practicing hard to contribute my part in the upcoming ATC playoffs, qualify for WCS and to do my very best overall. I have a great oportunity and I will not miss. Special thanks to Markus and all sponsors BenQ, EpicGear & XMG."

He is a relatively new name for some, we have been scouring the scene for young, new and talented players that we can develop. Our entire team feels Majestic is a great fit and will do great things. We have had a rocky few months as a whole and are ready to take on the world with our current line-up.

Cool stuff. I presume the bidding war for Sjaak/Scoobers is still going on for European Teams.

I promise not to make a joke about replacing a player with someone who has just beaten him

This was entirely coincidental. We were hoping for a top 2 placement, the first place at his first LAN was an absolute dream come true for all of us, but especially Majestic. .

it's great to develop new talent, but you don't replace a world class player like VortiX with an up and coming talent
|
Never heard of this guy. Congratulations!
|
Its so refreshing coming across a player that wants to better himself and having a team with longevity and experience will def help him succeed.
|
hui another 1997 guy alongside Starbuck, HeroMarine^^
GL mouz and Majestic.
|
It is awesome to see newcomers get into non-amateur teams! Not that it never happens, but i lately I felt that aparently only already stablished players are being signed by the important teams.
Good Luck mouz and Majestic.

Love how Mouz scouts and supports young up-and-coming talent. The essential component in keeping the scene fresh and budding. Huge props to Mouz and congrats to Majestic!

This kid is the future of the foreigner programing. He started to play starcraft one year ago, and now he beats Vortix in a offline tournament, and not with allin or cheese.
|
I like the idea of supporting talents, I hope it pays out in the future! Good luck!

This dude is really good. GL Majestic and mouz!

I'm confused, you're posting as if you represent Mouz but your signature says you're the manager for YFW...?

Never really heard of this guy, wish him and mouz well!
|
mouz have so little money for sc2, its so sad
|
Dont think of him as a bargain or some sort of that, he is really god, he plays at the top GM EU ladder (byt top i mean he can beat any EU GM) and as a matter of fact last week he defeated VortiX in a BO3 (also took 2 maps ou of a BO5 to MC) so he isn't a noob, plus he is just 17 and started playing thid game like 1 or 2 years ago, reaching the Grandmaster league in just few months of playing.
So seriously, you can expect decent things out of this guy
|
not a fan of Mouz any longer after their recent stint of bad publicity (self inflicted), but I wish this young player all the best.
|
Congrats to mouz on the pick up, hopefully a new terran player would soon take the hole Lucifron had once filled the scene needs more strong foreign/korean terrans.
|
It's nice to see when the big teams pick up new talent. Let's see how he does in the big leagues!
|
Congrats to the young lad.
|
Never heard of Majestic. Hope he works out.
Edit: Oh shit, its my birthday in Korea.
|
I don't follow the Spanish scene at all, but I'm surprised at how many people have never heard of Majestic.... He's name has been out there for a looooong time. Not a new face at all.
Glad that he's finally on a huge team and I hope lots of success comes out of this.
