I think HyuN will smash Polt. Polt's TvZ is extremely mediocre nowadays.

Mediocre is underestimating Polt imo. Don't forget he lives with Violet too and I'm sure they both have been practicing an insane amount of TvZ together in preparation for today.
JD, need I say more? :D

Gotta compliment the writers for this article: generally all the previews are good, but this one shines out with passion and objectivity at the same time.
Really enjoied reading all the four sections.
This said...
Heart > Violet due to his proficiency at the matchup
Alicia > Bomber unless our beloved terran decides to scout more, I'm expecting the unexpected with Alicia today
Taeja > Pigbaby
And whatever Polt and Hyun goes, the viewers will be rewarded by great games.

When I see Taeja micromanaging his bio, i wonder if his marine do not have 125 hp sometimes. It's just crazy he hasn't won yet WCS AM, i hope it's his time

Whatever the results are, the games will be incredible i think. It's by far - imo- the best WCS NA bracket we have had so far.
Hoping for hyun or a full terran ro4, that'd be cool^^

Good write up but Taeja is still winning tournaments by beating tier 2 koreans... JD, Hero and oZ are nowhere near Code S caliber. I have no doubt that Taeja could be Code S if he wanted to but he's not. If he wants Maru or Inno respect he should do something worth while.

I would say Taeja=Innovation. There was a time that would have sounded crazy but atm i don't think so. JD is code S material and hero isn't far from it when he's on. All round, comparing all matchups, he's as solid as myungsik/squirtle.

Did you see squirtle play last season? i really doubt he's back in Code S next season. Any reason you think JD is code S material? he gets knocked out of every tourney by RO16, RO32 NA and EU koreans. Why would he do better in Code S? Hero has lost to Huk the past 2 RO32s, i love Huk but he's not Code S and with the protoss caliber of WCS kr these days how would he have a hope to make it even into the tourney...

I'm saying solid, all around play, all matchups. PvP is volatile and shit happens but ya, you're probably right about hero. He really isnt code s material anymore but I just had to make a point about myungsik/squirtle.

JD has had some rough losses but we see this all the time with all the top players. Premier tournaments always see upsets and people get knocked out. Then they'll come back and go to the finals in the next. Once again, I'm not saying JD is a contender or anything but I think he could make it into code s if he didnt hit a hard group/bracket.

Korean protoss...yea...there are so many that are so damn good it's scary. People think toss is OP right now bc of korea but damn there are lots of good toss players. Most of these guys have been around for years practicing their ass of and playing in the toughest meta. No wonder they perform well.

Right, the player who just clean swept a tournament needs to "do something worthwhile". Your logic does not compute.

you got all that from Taeja going 0-3?

Hack and Ryung made code A when going back. Currently both code B, but so are a lot of Terrans.

Byul bombed in ro32 AM. Then he went back to Korea to be one of the top players of SPL and immediately make code S.

Pigbaby was a KeSPA Protoss (formerly Jin Air). He left the team to go solo due to his lack of coverage & opportunities to play matches (cuz the team is too stacked). Everyone underestimated him massively, including TaeJa, and TaeJa ended up paying his price. On top of that, he didn't go for various styles of play; he came out with his own flavor (producing 7-8 observers) and didn't use stuff that everyone cries about, such as oracles or storms. Anybody that plays TvP at a decent level knows that a zealot heavy composition isn't the typical toss deathball (due to zealots getting hard-countered by kiting), but he made it work. Nobody can discredit his 3-0 victory.
