My predictions are that Classic, Soulkey, soO, and Zest get to SF then I can't really predict anything! The closest QF is for me by far Maru-SK

I find it very interesting how the Ro32, Ro16, and Ro8 all have around the same ratio between the races. It's almost too perfect.

IMO Maru vs Soulkey will determine the winner of this Code S. If Maru can beat Soulkey, then I think he'll win the entire thing. If Soulkey beats Maru, I think Zest will just kill everyone.

If Maru wins, I think he can take the whole thing since he'll probably face Classic and Zest in the following matches, and his TvP looks on point. Not that his TvZ is bad either, but he has such a heavy history to play against when facing Soulkey... Then again, Soulkey used to get crushed by INnoVatioN in GSL (let's be honest, even when Soulkey took the championship after being down 0-3 it was more Inno crumbling upon pressure than Soulkey pulling off the comeback) and beat him quite convincingly today. I believe in Maru.
If he loses though, Zest will probably extend a reign that's already quite impressive. His PvZ is rock solid. A back to back GSL champion would be history in the making.

I would love to see this to be honest, soO really deserves to win it after coming 2nd twice... But based on current strength it seems like Zest vs Maru is the most likely final.

Because Maru has never beaten Soulkey in a match, and in sets, Maru vs Soulkey is 3–13 (18.75%). Also ZvT favors zerg right now slightly.

I could see Maru winning. Most people think ZvT is Zerg is favored, including David Kim. That's why they made the change to Hellbats.
You can never count a Terran out though. They can have very technical builds that give them a win. Maru is one of the best at transitioning out of a build rather than make it an all-in.

It's more of a compliment to his PvZ and PvP than anything else. He looked incredibly composed in both of those match-ups since his all-kill of SKT. His only offline bo3 loss since that all-kill was that 1-2 to Maru in the RO16 last season. In PL he also lost to BByong twice & Gumiho. While there's no shame in losing to any of these guys. it's the one match-up he doesn't seem to dominate all the time.

I do not think Maru is anywhere close to the best Terran in the world. But he plays like the Terran Fruitdealer to make it work. Just my opinion.
Personally, I would prefer that he steps down as an effort to demonstrate the current state of Terran. Yes, this includes 3-base SCV pull which I don't think is a "strategy". It would provide a lot more notoriety instead of a Terran making it to the top 4 before failing.
I'd bet on Soulkey winning, but its too bad I can't bet in US online

No chance for a soO v Zest finals rematch but perhaps in the semis. That was just an amazing match last season, looks like a really sick lineup nonetheless. Would be amazing if Maru could go all the way through in this seemingly low point for Terran, good luck to all
