Hey Guys,
we are very happy to introduce you to TaKeTV’s new business partner! This partner will officially accompany us in all of our segments for the rest of the year – immediately starting with the HomeStory Cup IX powered by XMG!
This partner is no one less than Razer!
Starting today, Razer will actively support us in everything we do. Be it the Gentlemencup in Hearthstone, the Acer TeamStory Cup in Starcraft, powered by Intel, the HomeStory Cup IX and X, our Daily Shows or even the next SeatStory Cup – Razer makes sure that everyone is perfectly equipped with peripherals and that you, as our viewers, are provided with the best action possible!
We are delighted that such a big company as Razer became interested in us and that this cooperation could arise. In recent months, TaKeTV grew in every aspect - including the number of viewers, employees and games offered – and therefore we are particularly pleased to work with a successful company like Razer.

It's so impressive what take has put up in these few years starting with basically nothing but a couch and a computer. One of the best guys for the SC2 scene both in Germany and internationally.

Didnt they have a partnership with roccat? Roccat seems to end a lot of involvement in sc2 lately. I was hoping they would have some nice promotions at HSC like last time so i can buy a nice new mouse for cheap, but i guess now i'll go with a razer mouse instead^^

Congratulation, TakeTV and Dennis! Really nice Sponsor and great news for the (german) Sc2-Scene! I hope Take grows stronger and can afford more awesome tournaments like HomeStory, which is by far my favorite tournament. HomeStory Cup is always funny, entertaining and awesome. It has great, funny players, good and funny casters and always nice content and fun on the screen :D

Nobody else thinks it's slightly awkward to have a Homestory Cup powered by XMG sponsored by Razer? (Since they both produce high-end gaming laptops)

i think razer doesnt build laptops anymore. at least if i try to look at them on the official page there's either a blank page or a 404 error. From my perception razer is all about peripherals anyhow.

As far as I am aware Razer launched their new Razer Blade Laptop series in March, so I'm pretty sure that is not the case.
In fact, I would say the opposite is true, since they only started producing laptops a few years ago (I think 2011).

XMG sponsors the computers, Razer sponsers the peripherals. That's probably how the agreements worked out.

Or simply how it used to be with XMG and Roccat sponsoring Homestory.
I really hope Razer supplies more than equipment though, but I think Take wouldn't go for the standard Razer equipment sponsorship anyway.
Kinda funny that this gets announced a few hours after I watched this. + Show Spoiler +
It's an old episode of a German TV Show called Giga Games (as the name suggests it was about gaming) and they invited Take to play a match live on the show. For anyone interested, the match starts at 21:25ish.

I am actually surprised it took razer so long to sponsor such a big community figurehead/house.
Razer mouses are all pretty good, I highly recommend
