http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/2014_Global_StarCraft_II_League_Season_2/Code_S

The Code S Ro16 opened up with a three-way family feud between SK Telecom T1 players, which resulted in (P)Classic and (Z)soO emerging victorious over their teammate (P)PartinG. CJ Entus' (P)herO, who was unfortunately caught in the crossfire, was also eliminated.

Classic had been a team-kill victim in the last season of GSL, getting eliminated by Rain and PartinG in the Ro16. One season later, Classic returned as a stronger player, defeating teammates PartinG and soO to take the first place spot in Group A. Combining his trademark cheeses (even going as far as to cannon rush three of soO's bases in the same game) with fantastic late game play, Classic proved himself to be the best SKT player in the group and a potential dark horse to take the Code S title.

With CJ's herO unable to get out of his funk and dropping games left and right, soO and PartinG were left to contest the second place spot in the group. Things seemed grim for PartinG as he had been eliminated from the previous two GSLs by soO, but he got off to an encouraging start by taking the first map off his tormentor. Unfortunately for PartinG, he would be unable to break his soO jinx. After his Soul Train was was derailed by soO in game two, PartinG resorted to a risky proxy 2-gate strategy to try and steal game three. Despite soO opening with a hatch-gas-pool build, PartinG was unable to deal any substantial damage and had no choice but to surrender the series.

Next Group -
Group C:
(T)Maru, (Z)Dark, (Z)TRUE, (P)Stork

Group B will be played on June 4th.

I'm going to need to watch that triple cannon rush game.

Anyhow, SKT is absolutely killing it

Aren't Code S reviews normally made along with the next group's preview and posted under Featured News?

Despite the fact that he got out of his group, I was a little bit disappointed by soO today. It felt to me like he was a little bit off of his game. Maybe it was just all the cheese.

I think part of it was the fact he was playing teammates and the other part it was just cheese. Which shows how afraid people are in playing him in a macro game.

Innovation isn't a royal roading protoss, only Stork can stop soOjwa from taking the title.

You could just, y'know tick the option that hides the spoilers.

Well, herO was just lackluster tonight and tbh, soO had to advance first if he didn't mess up everything.
Well-deserved by Classic though, he may not be as versatile and intelligent as sOs, but he surely reserved his place as one of Aiur's top dogs after tonight.

Sad for PartinG though, well, next time you will probably have to start from the gates, dude and not wait until Classic kills soO.

And soO is again on lower part of bracket in Ro8, oh boy. Rain, you have to probably choose asap, do you want soO or Classic. + If Stork wins his group on Friday, we can already assume, how will bracket go and who will be in the finals. AND WHO WILL WIN THE FINALS AS WELL.

Dark and TRUE are pretty good in ZvT and Maru's weakest matchup is just that. TRUE just plays baneling anyway which is fun, and stork has been improving alot lately so we could get an interesting group, could also get stomps all over

Parting losing to SoO is starting to remind me of Parting being unable to beat Life. Makes me wonder how much of is PvZ success is really based on tricks and mind games that his teammates won't fall for, being teammates and all.

Everyone should watch first game of Classic vs. SoO, not because it was the great game, but because Tasteless was killing it with his casting! I was laughing during the whole game... :D

Tastosis casting that game made it literally 10x better.

That was the most enjoyable day of SC2 I've watched in a while.

- Lots of the games were unique and interesting. Triple cannon rush, I'm looking at you.
- Top top top players, all with good personalities and sharp play.
- Tasteless and Artosis were really on point with their commentary; I giggled a bunch of times.

Too bad for Parting, though. Let's see if Classic can be the next great SKT Protoss!

Poor, sad Parting, this is the 4th(!) season in a row so-called "teammate" soO has eliminated or assisted in eliminating him from the GSL (/OSL). With friends like these...

It's also the 6th time in a row to be eliminated by a past or present teammate (Soulkey and Curious preceded soO) and the 8th time in a row to be eliminated by a zerg. Two more and we might have to present Parting with a special trophy, maybe we can call it the Fenix Award, for the poor toss who keeps on dying to the Swarm, coming back, and dying again and again...

Haha, yeah that is a dubious record. But I think there is good explanation for that, Parting's style is aggressive and he executes special strategies which no doubt become worse against the people you practice against...

Anyway, hopefully he can break it next season and go further, hopefully finally win a well deserved GSL!

After watching Parting all in immortal push failed, got to say i cringed looking at those 2 proxy gates. Imo it's looking to desperate and shows how not confidence he is against Soo.
