Acer.Nerchio didn't mind abusing masses of free units in the BL-infestor days, riding the composition to become the top Zerg in Europe behind Stephano (a title he contested with VortiX at times). However, he's had a rougher time in HotS, unable to make it back to the top with his more 'conscientious' unit compositions. I don't think, that this does Nerchio justice, he was considered the best zerg outside of korea by many, long before the BL/infestor composition existed and also before Stephano himself rised. The amout of online domination shown by Nerchio at times in 2011 was incredible. Yes but many players have had 'online domination' with minimal offline success. In 2012 Nerchio won a Dreamhack and Home Story Cup. So no doubt he was successful and had his moments. But after IPL in 2011 when Stephano emerged and rose to the top, Stephano would almost always be favoured. This continued until the day Stephano 'retired'. It was an arms race between the two (and VortiX) but Stephano was almost always on top. It is not about him against Stephano, it is the "riding the composition to become the top Zerg in Europe" part. He already was that. But like I said. He didn't have any major titles until the composition started going into fashion. I'm not saying he used it every single game but him along with many other Zergs used the strategy to great success. Sorry, that I didn't make myself clear at first place, like AlternativeEgo said, I meant the "riding composition to become" part as well. He didn't ever travel as much as other zergs, because he still attendet university, which factored into him not having that many major titles. But his online form was easily enough to justify him being a top zerg. Sure online a lot of players have periods of domination, but what Nerchio did is not the "Siw won the last two ZOTACS in a row with 3-0 against good players, I consider him a top foreigner now" kind, but a level above anyone else. He still has 50% more won cups (Zotac and Go4) than everyone else and Hyun plays both for more than a year now. And not only the smaller cups, also the bigger events, like Shoutcrafts, Scan Invs, MSI pro cups, GSS and a 10k-dollar LAN in Berlin. Add to that his run at IPL 2. Just as a comparism: He won more money in 2011 than Idra. I'm not arguing that post-IPL3 Stephano was clearly the top zerg, but pre-IPL 3 Nerchio was considered one of the best foreign zergs already, with only Idra, DIMAGA and Sen rivaling him. And that was far before BL/infestor. Btw., this is all critizism on a high level, I liked the rest of the article
Alright yeah. Fair enough! I understand where you're coming from and I can agree with that reasoning! He was deff among one of the top Zergs back then. And thank you, I appreciate criticism and comments!

Stephano still looks really strong against anyone, but especially Europeans so I think he makes it out for sure (maybe even first place).
I think Demuslim might be able to play a dark horse contender here as being underestimated as to how well he might be able to play in a match where he can get a lot of preparation like this.

stephano had already more online results than other foreign zerg EVEN before IPL3, only people who didnt follow european scen was surprised by his IPL performance ...

He had results, he was well known and he was considered one of the very good european zergs. But you can't really argue, that the results of Stephano before August/September are on par with those of Nerchio/DIMAGA/(Idra if you count offline).
