What a player at times and loved his cheeky personality. Had a pretty good career but the last few teams certainly can't have helped him keep motivation.

Actually, Golden is full time at the moment, and in Germany, not Korea. There are casuals, like Pigbaby, SSanaEE, who even though retired, still participate in online tournaments, probably to make some money on the side. You have many former GSL players who 'retired' or whose team disbanded but then went on to join foreign teams, like Balloon, who was on StarTale until he retired, but then joined mYinsanity. There are players like Noblesse (MVP), Mamuri (SKT1), Remember (Prime), Galaxy (MVP), MadBull (NSH), ShowTime (FXO), Tassadar (FXO), Neige (Azubu), Sia (ZeNEX), Emir (Prime), Treme (StarTale), Venus (TSL) as well as many others who were never pro but have found foreign teams and are doing reasonably well like Hunter (NewRoSoft), Gamja (IvD), MotoK (RuW), StuN (Deimos) etc

I think his point was more as to the 'casual' tag, with that many talented people in Kr who play a ton of high-level SC it would be hard for Genius to stay relevant in the absence of anything other than near-total commitment to playing again.

My 2nd favorite protoss player EVER, guy was a Genius in his prime as well. He left Korea and just didn't do what he could of accomplished.

Good luck in whatever you do Genius, you will be missed.
