"So for the last moths I ve been having serious motivation issues for esports and last month its simply impossible to open the game and practise alot. I did have good run in copenhagen games and qualified for wcs challenger but still didnt feel good at all and didnt really prepare for my premier game at all. Now Im going to have total break from sc2. I dont know how long it will take to start playing again, maby just week but its possible I will retire from esports. Luckily my team Vega totally understands this and will support me with the decision I will make so I will be staying in Vega and will make comeback with them if I m going to continue. Thx for all the fans for their support and lets hope I get my motivation back!"

Please don't retire elfi. It's too huge hit to finnish sc2 scene if you do :'( However, maybe there's no point in playing if you don't enjoy it anymore... Still I hope so much you will gain your passion back and come back even stronger!

I've only ever seen elfi to be nonchalant so it's a little amusing to hear the news, but also sad because he is talented.
Hopefully he comes back stronger, seems to be a trend for players these days that take time off.

Elfi was one of my favorite players to watch when I followed the scene closely, its sad to read this. Hope he finds himself having fun playing SC2, maybe not as a professional, when LotV comes out. His matches are very interesting to watch.

Last weeks I've started to play Starcraft again little bit and it feels again pretty good I don't have to force myself to play the game anymore. I had only like 16 days total break from opening Starcraft but already again felt like wanting to win and compete in big tours. So I m officially returning to play for my team Vega. For now I'm aiming to get in good shape for Dreamhack: Valencia and try to repeat my last year top 8 there! Big thanks for my team for their support in my decisions and pekka is best!
