The ESL run qualifiers for WCS 2014 Season 2 are now open. These include the USA/Canada/Latin America qualifier, European qualifier, and Ladder Wild Card qualifiers for both America and Europe.
You can find sign-up links on the official WCS site.
The World Championship Series allows any player to go from unknown to champion in one season. The first step in your journey is a regional Qualifier, or if you’re braver than most, a Ladder Wildcard Qualifier... ...Remember, to compete in our Ladder Wildcard Qualifiers, you must have 200 wins in the Ranked 1v1 Ladder (more info here). For all WCS Qualifiers, your StarCraft II account must be in Master League or higher. For additional rules and requirements, including map pool, please refer to the information provided by each Qualifier’s organizer.

love it, everything scheduled when I am on vacation

Looking forward to the EU qualifiers, it was so entertaining to follow the last time! I have a boon to our brave casters and the administrators though: please coordinate beforehand as much as possible who shows what match, so that we don't have a situation where 10 channels are showing one match and no channels showing the other 7 matches going on at the same time. Other than that, gl hf!

Actually, looking at the dates, I would have preferred to have the EU wild card qualification the first day and the normal qualifiers following. Why make it easy on the invaders?

Is it 200 wins this season?

Not surprising or ridiculous at all. 200 wins should be like two weeks worth of playing ladder at most for Korean pros.

IEM qualifiers are always a walk in the park for me, but now lets see if I can handle the mayhem that is WCS qualifiers lol.

The 200 wins is either Season 1 or Season 2 2014.

I still wish more qualifiers would be on the weekend T_T
I'm still excited to provide some coverage and see all the players try and qualify for this season

For WCS America and Europe, players have one qualifier with no regional restrictions. This qualifier’s major requirement is that players have 200 wins on a single account on the region’s host 1v1 Ranked Ladder (“Americas” server for WCS America and “Europe” server for WCS Europe) in the current or previous season. The eligible Seasons will be:

why are there only 2 qualifiers, and on a tuesday and thursday no less :/ Hoping for at least for better admins than nasl...
edit: also seems weird that the map pool is the brand new map pool? only gives people 2 weeks on those maps o.o I guess that's enough though?

Unfortunate that both America qualifiers are on school days T_T
|
That 200 wins rule is still official? It was completely ignored last time.

The organization surely can't get much worse than before.
Good call to use the new maps imo. Practice time is the same for all so no worries. People better get the 200 wins now if they don't have it already, there is the wild card qualifier and for WCS AM that one gives 3 slots and for EU 4 slots!
