Team Acer is proud to be participating in a special StarCraft II team event: Dustin March Madness powered by Intel!
Team Acer will compete against Team Liquid in a 3v3 team showmatch, as StarCraft II returns to the Ericsson Globe in Stockholm. The two teams will be fighting for their share of a $10,000 prize pool: the largest ever for a team showmatch[1].
Dustin March Madness will take place on March 29th from 1pm CET, so be sure to watch the stream provided by Dreamhack TV. You can also visit Dustin Expo at the Ericsson Globe in Stockholm to witness the action yourself for free!
Great news, and really awesome event! Really cool way to further the Acer-Liquid rivalry!
Shoutout to Acer, Intel and Razer for sponsoring this event

Just to clarify - this is a standard best of seven all-kill. Each team sends out one player, that player stays on until they lose, then the next player is sent in. There is one 'ace' per team who can be sent in, even if they have already lost. Each team is sending three players to the event; the lineups will be announced shortly.

According to the website, it is only $500 for the winner of the FFA (3v3?), $3000 for the losing team, and $6500 for the winning team.
While there is a special FFA (3v3?), the main event will be the Bo7 all-kill format
So the prize split will either be $7000-$3000 or $6500-$3500

FFA is the acronym of free-for-all so it will be the 6 players battling against each other without any team aspect. So the money will go to one player. If I'm not mistaken.

I believe you are mistaken, as the original quote says 3v3 and the quote to which you respond mistakenly writes FFA when FFA has nowhere before been mentioned. Unless I am the one who is mistaken.
The two best (foreigner) teams fighting over who are the better team, how fucking awesome is this?
Earlier i would say Acer ez, but with Snute and TLO great performance recently, Taeja being Taeja (unless his wrist fucks him over), HerO, this is gonna be super intense. Could be close, good be a complete sweep from either side.

The FFA is mentioned in the article on Acer's website.

Before the fight gets underway, all six players will warm up in a Free For All game.
. key words: Before and Warm Up. I think is like SPL. Edit: Not like SPL but Like GSTL round 1: all-kill format. A FFA for warm up, I haven't seen that before so it should be fun to watch.

I don't think Acer has a Protoss xD
Inb4 Acer.Bisu & Acer.Jangbi
Dear Acer, I know Scarlett hates protoss, and believe me I sympathize, but please consider adopting Jangbi
He's a really cool guy, he's had some shit thrown his way and he needs a loving home. He is super talented, looks like a young Jet Li and has a smile that could melt butter.

They already edited the site announcement to clarify. Good on them.
FFA warm-up for $500. Bo7 all-kill with 3 players for each team and an ace that they can use a second time. $6500 to the winning team and $3000 to the losing team.
Just to clear it all up, from the ACER site, it is a best of 7 with an ace player for each team. Meaning one team has to lose 4 sets. Ie 3v3 with each team getting one player to play twice. The players will warm up with a free for all. The 3v3 is referring to the 3 players from each team playing but it will still be a 6 way FFA. The Team ACER website (link in the Opening post) is a lot more clear
TL will send Mana Snute and Bunny/TLO. No way I see either Hero or especially Taeja coming out for this. Plus this is great chance for Liquid to show of their new recruits.
Today DreamHack is happy to release the final details pertaining to Dustin Expo March Madness Powered by Intel. If you missed the announcement yesterday, hosted in the Ericcson Globe in Stockholm, Dustin Expo March Madness will feature a team showmatch for $10, 000 between Team Liquid and Team Acer. Check out the full details in the original announcement here. If you are in Stockholm, make sure to come by the Globe to watch the action on stage live for free, otherwise tune in to the free 720p HD livestream at http://www.twitch.tv/dreamhacktv.

Without that rule the best strategy would be to bunker up as usual in a FFA. It's just a way to ensure that the game actually is as entertaining as it was.
The FFA was so much fun! We should see that more often.
I just wonder if all this isnt a bit expensive for such a "small" event? 10K on the line, huge location, fly the players in just for a single BO7 on a saturday morning?

Not much different from the previous DreamHack showmatch, TaeJa vs ThorZaIN Bo5 for 5k.

I don't know, but kinda sucks for Inno and Nerchio since I don't think they get to play^^. Still I won't complain about such an epic clan war and it's a nice promotion I guess.

HerO fans are still among the most rabid you'll ever see.
And the most delusional
Pretty much yeah. XD Same for Prime/MKP fans.
But man Snute's not looking bad at all in this game... :/
Prime fans are funny. They know they arent the best team and admit it. And they stick to Prime through thick and thin. HerO fans are just obnoxious. #shotsfiredatOlli
Insane game but Snute not harassing MMA economy enough, there were many opportunities for lings to harass MMAs bases...but man its so hard with all these drops, great job by MMA.

To be fair, the games so far have been pretty great. Even if the final score doesn't reflect a close series, watching these games is certainly entertaining
The 2 mics for interviews is BALLER! Take note everyone, this is how it's done right. Also, conversation topics are way more open then a single question rapid fire. Go go TL, the comeback starts now.

He played in the FFA!
I'm hoping they'll do some more fun stuff afterwards, especially if it's gonna be an all-kill (which is looking to be a certainty at this point...) maybe a 3v3?

What makes you think TaeJa would beat MMA with the way he's playing today?

Well he would've 2 shots, so I think he'd get him once.

i think he would have a better chance to beat him than the three who are losing against him today, that's all. of course i can't say for sure he would win against mma, but i think he has the better chances. semifinal of IEM WC is something you know.

You have not yet fulfilled the designated Passion quota required for Innovation to acknowledge your existence.
I dont know what else to do!!! Ive sigbetted for him been banned for him killed my younger brother for him D:
Being in people's face about your player all the time works great, I've found
Im not in people faces enough? :O must work on my passion
You can always improve on that aspect until people start mocking you specifically when your player loses. Only then do you have permission to be annoyed that said player doesn't give you enough attention ^_^

I have been mocked before because of inno. But I am still a young grass-hopper and must learn of Zealously-Sensei
MMA has really been hit or miss lately, some weird games vs Vortix and Scarlett, and then he just smashes TL. If this is a sign of things to come, I'll have to reconsider my prediction that Snute would advance.
The ATC all kill against TL and the near all kill of Axiom is probably the best MMA I've ever seen. Really hope he can find his way back to that kind of shape.
You better be. I got stats motherfucker and I will bury you in them
