He's like, what, the only progamer to have surgery and come back 100% healthy?

You should watch Maru, he's young and a good terran. I mentioned that he's young because it seems that a lot of Terrans who aren't Avilo get wrist problems because their APM is too high due to DavidKim(sarcasmcuzicantsaykappa). But yeah, wrist injuries are a problem so Maru probably won't get any for a while : ) I wonder, was wrist-problems a issue before SC2 as well? I'm curious, because it seems much more talked about now after SC2. Yes, it was. For example, Flash had surgery three years ago. So, what exactly are you trying to say? this bias is discussing? would scold someone who said the same about naniwa? Ah, you edited. Dat English. I don't give a damn about Naniwa because I find him unsympathetic. He does not interest me and I understand the reaction he is receiving. Taeja on the other hand, is a well accomplished player, one of the best and most consistent in the world. Taeja has been talking about retirement for half a year. Saying 'Taeja is always whining' is thus clueless (he's said this for months) and well as respectless (doesn't need explanation). Pardon me sir, i had some whiskey for the finals. Takes its toll on your spelling. But you are basicly admitting to being biased, and you dont think all retiring players deserve the same respect? Naniwa is also a very accomplished player, so thats sort of irrelevant. I dont mean to attack you pesonaly but i do think this widespread hypocrisy is repulsive. I suppose you can call it bias. I do however not agree all retiring players deserve the same respect. Naniwa has acted like a jerk on so many occasions. If you show no respect to the people who allow for your job to exist, don't be butthurt when they turn on you. Enough is enough, and Naniwa has crossed the line of what most people call acceptable more than once. So, you can call it hate or bias, fact is, Naniwa has a poor reputation which he works hard to sustain, and this time it cost him. And as such, it is not weird people act angry about Naniwa's quirks while they really deeply care about Taeja's future. Lastly, Naniwa may be the most accomplished foreigner (after possibly Jinro), he is still so far behind Taeja it is not even funny. I was about to bring up the fact that Taeja has also done his fair share of whining, bitching and BMing over the years, but i suppose you would just resort to calling me clueless and respectless, am i right? If you compare Taeja's whining and bitching and his accomplishments to Naniwa's, I think I am in my right to call you respectless and clueless, yes. Whoever has the most Accomplishments is not relevant. When a seasoned Starcraft 2 Pro retires, they should not be spat upon. Both Naniwa and Taeja deserve respect, this widespread hypocrisy is revolting. You don't deserve respect; you earn it. Taeja has earned my respect, Naniwa hasn't, Also, ignoring my arguments doesn't make you more credible. You can say a lot of things about Nani, but saying he hasn't earned respect as one of the hardest working foreigners, and the only one to make GSL ones past the beta makes me wonder if it's respect you are talking about or just you not liking his personality. That said, I hope there is a statement made by TL about Taeja's plans, I really like Taeja. what? Jinro was in the GSL, so was TLO in the earlier ones. We had Stephano at one point as well but that didn't pan out well lol. The surgery was in 2011/2012 and he killed another season of PL and was the "most wins" player in the previous one. Sure he's not as good at SC2 as he was at BW but his BW playing (right up until the very end) was pretty spectacular.

Weren't they probably two of the best players in that era though? Fantasy was undefeated in the last OSL until he met Jangbi.

Watching Flash throughout his "Godmode" days was really different to the period when Fantasy and Jangbi began to dominate. Flash was less innovative with his builds (less timing attacks, playing really predictable, etc) and, as JohnChoi said, he was probably practicing SC2 fulltime at that point. I have little doubt that if SC2 hadn't become the flagship game for KeSPA and if it wasn't being pushed to supplant BW, Flash would have continued "regaining" his pre-surgery form, which would've prevented Jangbi and/or Fantasy from dominating the last two OSLs.

He's one of the few top terrrans that uses ghosts effectively against protoss and micro them like god, which makes ghosts look so OP at his hands.
