It is with great excitement that we announce our recent acquisition of Kim “Revival” Dong Hyun in the StarCraft II division of CM Storm. After watching Revival compete in multiple tournaments toward the end of 2013, we knew we wanted him on our roster. This will be the second time in their StarCraft II careers that both Choi “Polt” Seong and Revival will be teammates.
During the early stages of his StarCraft II career, Revival was on Team SCV Life (TSL) alongside Polt. Competing mainly in GSL while on the TSL roster, Revival became a popular name in StarCraft II community. At the end of 2012 Revival left TSL and was quickly acquired by Evil Geniuses (EG). The following year became Revival’s biggest and most successful; he took 2nd in WCS America to herO.
Soon after, he competed in IEM Shanghai where powered through the Group Stages and made it to the Ro8. His first opponent was none other than his past and future teammate, Polt. They played an amazing series, and Revival came out on top of the Bo5 (3-2). Heading into the Ro4, the Boss Toss, Jang “MC” Min Chul awaited Revival. People were curious as to how far Revival had progressed in the year and were very speculative about his Zerg versus Protoss. Revival silenced any doubts at that point and defeated MC 3-1, advancing into the Grand Finals.
EG fans were ecstatic to find not one EG player, but two in the final match. Revival would face Kim “Oz” Hak Soo in one of the most one-sided series ever seen in a Grand Finals. He had a set strategy going into the series and executed it with perfect precision and timing, taking his teammate down (4-0). Revival and fans alike were stunned as he won the final match and crowned himself the IEM Shanghai Champion.
It is the beginning of a new year and a new team for Revival, and we look forward to seeing his capabilities in the coming year. I wouldn't be so glad about it, it is hard to be a Revival fan sometimes. Especially when he gets ahead early.

Yes, but success = popularity. You do well in tournaments, get sponsors or a team >>> get exposure. You think Revival would ever have this much exposure without EG?
