Seed has always been a player that is known for his intelligent play. He is one we can consider to be a "veteran" in the StarCraft 2 scene. Having early success in Heart of the Swarm BETA, Seed is a player that although might have fallen from the top Protoss slot (if that ever really existed), is definitely one who has tons of experience in numerous competitive settings. He has competed in GSL Code S (was a champion), Code A, and the very prestigious team league run by GOM, the GSTL (RIP). Seed started getting a lot of attention from the community when he played in the GSTL for IM in Feb’11. He had an impressive performances taking out players like Ensnare, TOP, and Hyperdub. (Early HotS BETA).
Let's not forget, "The first major Heart of the Swarm tournament that Seed participated in was the 2013 MLG Winter Championship. In the Showdowns he faced Sniper, who he defeated 3-1 to qualify for the main event. However, he did fall in the first round to Rain. Later on in the Exhibition Matches, he lost 3-2 to MarineKing, and got knocked out of the tournament entirely."
Alternate ID's include: IM.Seed, SeedSG, LG-IM.Seed, FXOSeed, Vengeance

So.. you might be asking yourselves.. "Why am I even making a thread like this?"
I have commentated and seen many games of Seed in numerous online tournaments (early HotS) and I've also hosted plenty of community showmatches that featured his outstanding Protoss play (yes he did take all of my money). Through this I have developed a strong friendship with Ahn over skype and quickly learned that he is a super nice guy who is extremely dedicated to the game and is working ridiculously hard to get back to his dominance in the early start of HotS. I want to help him get there.
What you can expect in the future from Seed, myself, and his stream:
- A consistent streaming schedule that caters to both EU and NA viewers. (This will be announced through his twitter - @SeedSC2 ( http://twitch.tv/SeedfOu )
- More chat interaction with fans and viewers.
- He WILL use a microphone to commentate his games in English (his English is actually insanely impressive and easy to understand). So far he's talked about how overpowered Blink Stalkers are and how strong Terran is
- There will be times where you can send twitter questions (@SeedSC2 ) and he will respond to them on stream. This can be strategy, team history, pretty much anything goes as long as it doesn't get too personal!
- I will do my best to talk to him about releasing some kind of replay pack for his fans to check out (this will probably be a monthly thing).
- Expect him to take part in MANY online cups (EU/NA).
The whole purpose of this project is to let the fans and viewers of StarCraft really get to know Seed on a more personal level, not just as some Korean who has top notch mechanics and can maintain a high rank on the KR GM ladder. I guess you can consider this some kind of personal sponsorship or so, but regardless of what this is labeled as - I am very excited to be working with Anh to help connect his fan base and show to the community how much of a character and amazing player he truly is.

Good luck! Sow the seeds of a champion once again

Upon reading the title, i thought this was going to be about Seed Gaming (Root's academy). I'm pleasantly surprised =)

YAY! So happy for him! It's good that he finally regains some recognition! :D
You better take good care of him, or I, his # 1 fan, will come after you and kill you

I'm glad that many people in the community are looking forward to this project! If you tuned into his stream last night you were able to hear him commentate some games in English (which was super funny.)
Would you guys be interested in me doing an AMA with Seed sometime in the next few weeks? This would be live on his stream. VOD's would also be available to those who would miss it.

sure
i think that such a partnership is a good idea

One of my favorite players out there!
|
Gratz to Seed! I haven't heard anything about him in a while. Also, who's PrOmise? Is that a company brand or a caster?
|
Wow, this is really nice of you! I hope this relationship blossoms and you guys can soon get a personal sponsor!

I'm a caster who's done a lot of other smaller projects around the StarCraft 2 community. They might not be too noticeable, but I always try to do good work. so I've been told!

Congratulation on the sponsorship. Can't wait to see Seed back in action!
|
w8 - what, was that "Vengeance" Terran guy - that was Seed ??
He better gets back to his own Identity/brand though..
|
Im will watch Seed over any other protoss streaming, hes just simply amazing!!!
|
Great, finally some other protoss than San streaming, this just may be the thing to get me back to watching this stuff.
|
So now we've come to making headlines with exclamation marks, because we're at the point where really nobody cares?
|
no information on what this "Promise" team/organization is?

Thank you for doing this and helping Seed by shining more light upon him now in a time when he wouldn't normally get much exposure. I've always admired his intelligent play and more so his calm under pressure when he came back after a 2-0 deficit against Symbol and then Byun to secure his spot in the final of that GSL. I hope trough your efforts he can find a new team soon enough or a personal sponsor.
|
Cool, it looks like an interesting player-manager relationship. I hope you can help him find a team and boost his stream
|
I was very confused after reading the piece, until I noticed the username. Had to skim if through again trying to find out what this supposed team I had never heard of was. You might want to edit this link or excerpt from it to the news.

Great initiative, I love me some Seed and hope he can get back to where he belongs
|
i don't get why stream advertisement got into big community news on the front page
|
I have always been a fan since he made that sick come back against symbol that went on to chance the course of his entire career.
|
He's my favourite player of all time. His comeback against Symbol in 2012 GSL Code S Season 3 (?) was incredible and I've been a fan ever since.
|
amazing this is what sc2, talent getting popular finally ^_^ I hope more players like seed get the recognition their talent deserves.
|
Seed won that GSL summer tournament with such beauty and style that would be hardly repeated. And he continued with a good performance on the next code S, untill Symbol took his revenge when they met. It was really bad, that he has fallen so fast after that. Let's hope he can return when he belongs! Seed fighting!

I remember you from a few of the HotS beta tournaments! Really cool of you to do this Promise. Hopefully you both reap some benefits out of this as your casting was pretty chill IIRC.
Also has Seed changed his twitter handle? The link goes to a non-existing page.

That's why you should watch his stream and support him!

Thanks for doing this, Seed is one quality Protoss. Like now, I'll make sure to click on his stream whenever I see it.
I hope he finds a good team/sponsor soon. Seed is too fine a player to be without one.
|
It's nice to see Seed taking initiative in a time of hardship. I wish him good luck.
