Just a day after NaNiwa was eliminated from WCS Europe Premier League, the other top non-Korean player of 2013 fell in America. With losses to Heart and TooDming,  Acer.Scarlett was forced to end her WCS America season one run in the Ro32.
 AX.Heart and ZoO.TooDming ended up being the players to claim the two Ro16 tickets up for grab in Group B. Heart continued an extended run of strong TvZ performances, taking out both TooDming and Scarlett to advance in first place.
After losing to Heart in his initial match, TooDming was able to 2-0 both ROOT.MaSa and Scarlett to take the second place spot in the group. Several of the highlight plays of the night went to the Chinese Zerg player as he won a fifty minute battle (without swarm hosts!) tug-of-war to close out his series with MaSa, and performed a picture perfect, 360 degree roach surround to finish off Scarlett in the final game of the night.
Even as they were eliminated from the tournament, MaSa and Scarlett had their shining moments. MaSa's tenacity allowed his slugfest against TooDming to be as entertaining (albeit somewhat sloppy) as it was. As for Scarlett, she pulled off a brilliant comeback against MaSa after falling victim to a two-rax bunker rush.
WCS America continues next week with groups C and D.

didnt expect heart, thot scarlet was going to make it through. definitely had my bets on toodming tho, chinese zergs are pretty strong compared to their terran and protoss counter parts (other than jim and macsed).

Really liked Masa's games. Congrats to TooDming and Heart. Heart is probably the most underrated Axiom player and deserves some highlights.

Rotterdam and other caster don't know terran . Their "WOOW" at the most standard 3 cc timing and build from Heart makes me face palm so hard..
I think I'll be facepalming a lot as they show their ignorance in TvZ...

i don't understand this kind of attitude... it's one thing to have personal preferences, but having joy in seeing someone fail i just cant wrap my head around.
i may be wrong on this but i have this impression that a lot of foreign hype for wcs died these past couple of days exactly because "fanboys" lost their favorites. from a viewership standpoint having foreign flagships do well can only be a good thing, right? same way more hardcore people that only value GSL want consistent champions, more rivalries, and are dissapointed when let's say maru drops out first round.

in terms of pure talent and skill, ill take my chances with scarlett, what she has managed to do, even in wings is beyond me, her muta control vs DRG or her 3-0 vs Life for example
