IEM Cologne continued on day two with the first two groups of the Ro16 being played through. The tournament very nearly saw four Protoss players make it through to the quarterfinals, but a strong SCV-pull attack from (T)mYi.jjakji against (P)mouz.Dear in the very last game of the day ensured there would be at least one Terran in the next round.

Having progressed to the quarterfinals, (P)SKT_Rain, (P)Liquid`HerO, (P)Ai.Patience, and (T)mYi.jjakji must now wait and see who will joint them from Groups C & D.

Group A
.(P)Rain2 - 0
.(P)HerO2 - 1
.(T)ForGG1 - 2
.(Z)HyuN0 - 2
Group B
.(P)Patience2 - 0
.(T)jjakji2 - 1
.(P)Dear1 - 2
.(T)qxc0 - 2
Group C
.(T)Polt0 - 0
.(P)MaNa0 - 0
.(Z)Jaedong0 - 0
.(P)StarDust0 - 0
Group D
.(P)Classic0 - 0
.(T)HeRoMaRinE0 - 0
.(T)INnoVation0 - 0
.(P)MC0 - 0

IEM Cologne continues on 12:00 GMT (+00:00) with Groups C & D of the Ro16.

Patience is doing so well lately. Wouldn't be surprised if he makes it to the semi's.

Rain is so freaking consistently good since the end of 2012, it is sickening. Him and soulkey. If your a toss or Zerg and your not studying Rain or Soulkey, I really don't know what you are doing with your life.

Is Dear going to follow the trend of Koreans getting worse when they sign with foreign teams?

Yup, cash in. Get that easy foreign money then retire or call by the wayside. When you work and practice hard, it pays off. And you have a huge advantage when your practice regimen is effective. Mass laddering in a foreign house and getting GM on NA isn't going to keep you a top player sadly. Same goes for Innovation.

Definitely agree with you: while the results are negative, Qxc put a hell of a fight.

Patience's DH run was on AZUBU tho :o and Stardust only played a little bit of SC2 on ACE I assume.

I'd love to be angry at you saying jjakji chobo on NSH, but I guess I can't

omg Dear looked so weak compared to the almost Bonjwa status that he had with his gsl win and season final 3 championship, maybe the mouz curse is real (

I bet all the Dear bandwagon jumpers are feeling pretty silly now.

His two tournament wins in a row were great, but the hype was unbearable. Luckily he hadnt appeared since BWC, so it was rather quiet.

Yeah they can win a foreign event (where 90% KeSPA koreans do not take part) but they have won 0 GSL and 0 WCS Finals.

There def needs to be an 'epic quota' - or whatelse, that would have qxc allowed to continue.

This guy doesn't understand sc2 very well, if you did you would understand that Dear played like a complete god at the end of last year. The guy has talent.
