The third day of IEM Sao Paulo ended with
MC and 
mYi.jjakji booking a semi-final match against each other as the other half of the bracket was left to be played out on the final day.The day started off with the final two groups of of the Ro16 being played. Group C gave way to predictable results, as the Korean Terrans
Polt and CJ_herO advanced over the Brazilians Tunico and Kelazhur. In contrast, Group D provided quite the surprise, as the foreigner duo of mYi.ABomB and ROOT.MajOr bested CJ Entus' Bbyong and trOt to advance to the quarterfinals.Unfortunately for ABomB, his underdog run was cut short soon after as he was shut out by MC in their quarterfinal match. Meanwhile, jjakji (who took second place in his Ro16 group on the previous day) defeated Polt on the other side of the bracket to advance to the semifinals.

IEM Sao Paulo will conclude on February 1st, with the remainder of the bracket being played out until a champion is crowned.
