Yeah I noticed that--there were two slots missing because Mvp got moved to Premier and LucifroN retired, so presumably they did the same thing they did with Mvp and gave those slots to the two just-qualified players who had the most WCS EU points last year, since BabyKnight got to the QF in S1 and Grubby to the SF in S2.

He basically just shouted into the mic in a poor imitation that seemed like he was ripping off Mexican soccer commentators because "that's what he sounds like." Kind of objectively offensive. It was met with... mixed reviews... in chat. He then said that someone messaged him on sc2 "If you ever cast like that again, I'll kill you." For whatever reason, he decided that I was the one that did it and blamed me for it on stream. I said I didn't appreciate the slander. Then he permabanned me. So between the slander, the racist casting, and the generally less than mediocre casting he normally gives, I'm pretty bummed he'll be covering WCS at all. First off, there was no offense intended, and none was taken on Vasa's side. He is a good friend of mine, and found it entertaining himself, albeit somewhat silly. As you pointed out, there were mixed reactions in chat, and we took that into account when we decided not to cast another game like that.
As for why I assumed you wrote me on battle.net, you were pretty much saying the exact same thing in chat, which is why you were permabanned, though I don't remember banning you personally, may well have been one of the mods. Either way it was well earned.

Don't misquote us on this either, we said, "It'd be fun to cast this like Vasacast - For those who don't know who he is, he is an Italian streamer" [blah blah quick CV about him following + a shout out and link to his stream]. I'm not going to quote this guy, as I'm not going to pretend I remember anything of what happened many months ago. I can reason that someone might feel hurt because he or she got a temp- or perma-ban in someone's chat channel. But as one of many mods on the BasetradeTv channel, I can honestly tell anyone that we hardly ever ban anyone. If you have been legitimately banned and it wasn't a missclick meant for someone else, then I can tell you I'm 100% sure the bannee deserved it. There's only 1 rule on the channel, it's not that hard.
That said,
Pengwin is one of the better community casters (and no, I don't mean the many others are bad), and I'm positive that Madals and Pengwin will do the players and the matches in this season's Challenger justice. I'm really excited for these matches!
Looking forward to seeing all the relatively unknown players; you know at least some of them will get facerolled but I bet a few look great and pull major upsets too.
