Yesterday evening Gabriel "mouzHeroMarine" Segat secured himself an EPS Germany title after beating Socke in the finals with a 3-2 score and defeating his teammate and former titleholder mouzHasuObs in the semifinals. Since the beginning of the German EPS series for StarCraft II, not a single terran player has managed to win it all - a streak that Mr.Segat clearly ended.

Not only was he the first terran, he was also the youngest EPS SC2 winner - only 16 years of age as he entered the competition. With this victory, mousesports HeroMarine walks away with €3000 and a directseed into IEM Cologne. Team mousesports have now won EPS Germany three times in a row in StarCraft II. Eight months ago, in an interview with D-esports, HeroMarine told them "I would like to win at least one EPS Germany" - something that he can now check off on his bucketlist.

He showed amazing TvP versus Hasu and Socke, it was great to watch.
GGWP Gabriel!

I wanted to look up the Broodwar EPS to see whether any of them was won by a terran, but sadly the Broodwar Liquipedia is not complete in that regard.

so did I, I also managed to find nothing on the ESL page. They have a section dedicated to "Rückblick", but it is empty.

I know there's an age limit for them, but not 100% sure what it is.

Great first step for Gabriel!!!! Really excited to see him in WCS EU and IEMs in the future, good luck .

He played really good for quite some months now, and his stream is my favorite non-Protoss one for sure. I was pretty happy to see him winning!
|
He's definitely been improving, can't say I'm expecting him to become a foreign hope anytime soon but for now it's cool beans for him
|
I love that guy - Hope he and ShoWTimE go and stay full pro

As far as I can remember he said in an Interview, that he don't want to be a full time "Progamer". So I guess it will never happen, that he will be one of the best foreigners.

Yes, just like Polt. Oh wait... =D
During the last homestory cup he was doing really well, he even managed to take a game of Leenock, his only complaint was his TvP sucked.

Actually Polt still considers himself to play sc2 professionally, it's just that he sleeps so little and manages his remaining time so well that he can edge out several hours of practise a day, which is something Heromarine doesn't do. For him school and a minimum of private life takes priority, even if that means that he cannot practise sc2.

BarCraft Cologne Christmas Party

Gratz to Marine. He show some decent results last time.

i have heard of this guy but never saw any of his matches. For us terran fans im guessing he will be one to watch for wcs EU in 2014? if so cool, it would be nice to see a foriegner terran do well.

Potential foreign terran hope?
|
Illusion was the potential foreign Terran prodigy, but has been a disappointment since his debut at MLG 2011. HeroMarine is improving immensely and his TvZ, with his MM army splits being very good. Hope he continues to work hard and try to unseat Happy.

School's getting serious though, hope he can handle both (basically only the last two years of your high school performance determine what you can study and where in Germany).

It's German school though, so he'll have plenty of time at his disposal to use as he wishes.
