Red Bull has revealed the groups for the upcoming Battle Grounds NYC on their official site. The group stage will be played out in GSL style "dual tourmament" format, with the winners moving on to a four man elimination bracket. More detailed information can be found on Liquipedia.

Does anyone know how will the map poll be used? Will they use a veto system or a starting map with loser picking system?

As long as sOs isn't burnt out from Blizzcon, I'd be surprised if anyone stopped him, but I'd enjoy seeing Bomber/Scarlett and MC/Snute make it out of the groups. Should be a fun tournament.

That's a pretty stacked tourney for 8 players. Feel kinda bad for the two foreigners tbh

Awesome line-up, but they should have fair race distribution. I will watch it anyways :D Would be cool, if scarletts wins the tournament. she deserves it.

I don't know. A lot of people thought that Dear would come out and win Blizzcon since he was basically winning everything. I wouldn't count anyone out of this tournament

It was obvious that the last spot would fit the winner of Blizzcon.. It's a 40$k tourney (perhaps even 50k) thing.. Also - it was already announced if I remember correctly that the Blizzcon winner would get the last spot..
Will probably root for the BossToss though..

I'm on the fence about buying the GA tickets. Are there definitely seats for GA or is it standing only? Does buying a ticket give you a specific seat, section or are they just first come first serve? How is the venue like?

Wow that title seems so out of place on sOs.
I like Red Bull BG though, this looks unbelievably stacked :o
Always rooting for Terran so go Bomber, though I see almost anyone of them with the potential to win this.

What is the actual start time of this event? Thinking real hard about going, but trying to figure out hotel cost and such.

@Krazy I don't know how far you are but I'm in NJ and am taking a train up each day, the doors open at 12 but the event doesn't start until 1 from what I've read. Hotels aren't cheap in NYC but Redbull.. or hammerstein partnered with a hotel for the event if you need one. Here's the link to it.
