A bunch of really cool info in here, thanks! I hope some of the casters look at this, as some of this stuff could be really nice in helping to craft storylines

Lovely post.

Anyone else completely shocked that Naniwa has a higher chance of winning it all than Soulkey?

Jaedong sports the highest win rate in an individual match-up, 74% in ZvZ.

I think Bomber's 12-3 (80%) TvT is better... Just a hunch.

Unless you're counting all of HotS, then he's 20-6 (~77%) which is still higher than JvZ... :o

http://aligulac.com/players/12/results/?after=&before=&race=t&country=all&bestof=all&offline=both&game=HotS&op=Filter .

I'm counting all games played in all formats in both wol and hots for maximum sample size.

You forgot to add that Jaedong is at least 800% more manly and awesome than anyone else at Blizzcon, assuming Reach does not show up.

Jaedong is more manly than everyone in a tournament with MC? Puh-Lease!

Zealously you are a God !

Four WCS finals re-matches are possible in the finals: Bomber - Jaedong, Innovation - Soulkey, sOs vs Innovation and MMA - MC.
A minimum of 46 games will be played at Blizzcon. The maximum amount of games is 77.
Blizzcon has the largest prize pool of any SC2 tournament ever.

Holy shit ! hype is so crazy ... ! teamliquid really did a really good job .. in just nine hours this finals might hit almost 200k with what TL is doing

And even i would want to complete the cycle .. but please god no .. no more god awful grand finals

Every WCS Season Finals has ended in a very one-sided stomps. If Blizzcon does as well, the grand total will be 16-0.

The really interesting part is that it kind of questions the "Team Houses are the best practice environment" rule with a pretty good sample size.

If we look at it we have full "Kespa" houses in Woongjin, Soul (for most of the year) and kinda EG/TL for some time. We have esf houses with Startale, MVP, Prime and IM. And kinda no house with Alliance, SK, CM Storm and kinda Acer.

If the Kespa practice regime is really that much better why is this field such spread out in terms of practice environments?

since Kespa players (minus a very small number of B teamers in the qualifiers) didn't go abroad to WCS AM and EU there were less opportunities for them to get into the season finals so it's kind of a stretch to make a statement about it

maybe because nobody expected that esf will perform better than most of the kespa that switched .. and as far as i can remember from the interviews most of the champions just ladder all the time lol .. maybe the secret to practice in sc2 .. practicing against diversity of playstyle since when you play on ladder .. god knows what people will do

Pff, Jaedong scoffs at your puny presidential protoss, possessed as he is of a most peculiar, prominent paunch, presumably pondering pilfering yet more perniciously produced pennies to supplement his already ponderous pile.
