Well, considering STX just dropped SouL and the fact their Protoss players are doing really well atm. They're kind of strapped as is, so I'm not surprised Kal would be joining another team after military service. It just makes sense at the end of the day. I don't think SouL can really afford it until they find another premium sponsor. Doesn't matter how good Kal is at the game. | ||

Not that I can't understand it in this particular case. I also think that Kal sounds much better but this treatment is not really consistent with other cases in SC2 where people have usually let the players get away with silly changes in the recent past (Innovation, Swagger, Kangho, Duckdeok just to name a few) and didn't just continue to use the old names like they seem to do here. | ||

To be fair a lot of people still call Swagger Killer or Sangho, Kangho Losira, Duckdeok Finale, and Innovation Bogus. | ||

Yep, we use the old names because we normally go by their aliases rather than their actual names unlike the Korean community. People of old would recognize the Kal name. Not the new one and that's why they changed it, or else they would be going who the fuck is GooJila. | ||
