It was legends night at WCS America as two great Zerg champions of Brood War and Wings of Liberty advanced from Group B. EG.Jaedong continued to show that he is a dominant player in any match where the words "grand finals" are not involved, making short work of the competition to advance without losing even a map.
On the other hand, the recently marriedIM_NesTeastruggled but advanced nonetheless, recovering from an early series loss against ROOT.ViBE to advance in second place.
Jaedong was impressive in his advancement, barely looking troubled at all by his opposition. After using muta-ling-bane to swarm over coL.TheStC in his initial match, he demolished ViBE in the winners' match with two quick zergling rushes. It was a performance that made Jaedong seem almost bored with the competition in the Ro32, looking forward only to the live rounds of the tournament and the prospect of finally winning a championship.
Eventual second place finisher NesTea got off to a rocky start with a 1 - 2 loss against ViBE, as he fell to the WCS 2012 USA champion's zergling-baneling attacks. However, Nestea was able to bounce back with a 2 - 0 win against TheStC in the losers match, winning with a roach-rush and a mutalisk base-trade to earn a rematch against ViBE in the final match of the night. There, Nestea was able to avenge his earlier loss with a 2 - 0 victory, fending off an aggressive baneling-zergling attack in game one, and out-dueling ViBE with mutas in game two.
VIBU , but at least he showed he could beat Koreans when he was on his game. Hopefully JD can win a tourney soon, it feels like he's already surpassed Flash if your based solely on recent performances.

No Scarlett = no foreigner in the top 8 for AM. Sad but true. It's actually kind of silly how far ahead she is of the rest of the NA scene.
Why are you people talking about Scarlett? I thought Scarlett was doing a "break" from SC2, visiting China, not playing in the next months, etc... ? Or does she play WCS from China?
