WCS America wrapped up its Challenger League for Season 2, with lvD.Apocalypse, ST_Hack, EG.HuK, and coL.TheStC winning the final four spots in the Season 3 Premier League. Here are the final results from the group phase of the Challenger League.
Top two advance to Premier League. 3rd place remains in Challenger League. 4th place eliminated from Challenger League (must play in Challenger League prelims)
*Sound and theognis forfeited due to retirement, viOLet forfeited due to visa issues.
Overall the Challenger Season was a surprising success for players from the Americas. With a worst case scenario that could have seen as few as just three 'Americans' in the Season 3 Premier League, a total of eight players were able to qualify (not including Scarlett, who may forfeit her spot).
A handful of newcomers also made their way up from the Challenger League, with the Koreans HyuN, Hack, ByuL, and Arthur qualifying for their first WCS America Premier League.
WCS America Season 3 Premier League Players (32) - 12 / 10 / 10

She has a wrist injury, if I remember correctly and needs to take time off.
I really hope she doesn't forfeit. I'm going to season finals and was REALLY hoping I could catch some of her games there! Although I can understand why she would want to take some time off for her wrists to heal.
So unless Blizzard purposefully delays WCS AM Premier for a month, she won't be participating.
Well, WCS AM won't immediately start now (Probably 1-2 weeks from now) and between the first and the last groups there are normally about 2 weeks. So if Blizzard is actually flexible regarding the schedule, I don't think it's impossible for her to participate :-P

This is true. If they wait a week and go by the format of EU and KR, the last two groups would be at the beginning of October and Scarlett could play!
At first I was mad that Crank made it back in (didn't Axiom even release a statement saying he needed to rest his injury?) after his "games" with Alicia last season.
Seems that karma ended up hitting Alicia and Ryung instead, which actually doesn't make me happy either since I actually like watching Ryung play.

she has wrist issues, she was actually going to rest during season 2 but was talked into playing it through, now she is on the cusp of going to blizzcon, but if she forfeits her spot there is no hope of blizzcon

she's been talking about taking a break for wrists/other reasons for a while now
hopefully she waits until after the season we really need a non korean at global finals and shes our biggest hope, naniwa allready ou of premiere this season so i think he will lose his top 16 spot for sure....

I'm mad about that as well.. it was pretty much admitted by TB that Crank had in fact purposely thrown those games.. sickening. Any other sport and the players in question would've been banned or at the very least suspended. Bothers me because they're taking a spot from a deserving north american who wouldn't resort to such despicable tactics. Match fixing in a tournament game is the worst offense in my opinion.. even more so than maphacking.

If you had been paying attention to the news, she has decided to take her break before this season, therefore basically eliminating herself from global finals. Sorry.

There's 3 weeks in October before the season finals. If the NASL runs her Ro32 group the first week of October, then she could take all of September off and be able to play WCS. I'm hoping this is why WCS AM has not started yet!
