Startale Sound's retirement turned Challenger League Group C into a three man affair. Although AX.Alicia was the player to receive the lucky walkover (he had Sound scheduled as his first opponent), he was unable to get the single series victory he needed to advance to the Premier League.
Instead, it was the Terran duo of MajOr and AX.Heartwho advanced out of the group. Heart took the hard way out, defeating Major and then Alicia to advance in first place. Meanwhile MajOr needed just one victory against Alicia after his initial loss to Heart to reach the Premier division.
Gratz to Major. A little surprised Alicia couldn't make it especially with the walkover. Always good to see another North American in WCS American though.
i know this is kinda off-topic, but i see that Liquipedia has Violet forfeiting his matches in Group E, which hasn't even been played yet. why is that?

He forfeited his spot altogether, since he could not play off-line stages at all. Good guy violet.

He can play the online part but he'd 100% forfeit during the offline portions. No point knocking someone out if he can't go far.

EDIT: oh, wait. he's been on Azubu for a while so i guess he's been back to Korea. somehow forgot about that.

He was living in the US, on a visa, but stayed past his due date IIRC, so it's impossible or at least super hard to get back in.
Ouch, overstaying a visa it's serious business, surprised he even got out of there....surely won't be able to go back for 10 years or at least it's the way it works in most countries.
