I think innovation was overhyped due to casters. He had best winrate but he never was as dominant as flash or mvp.
It really sucks for him, people calling him patch-terran  Its not his fault he knew better how to utilize helbats.

I read somewhere but I can't remember that Innovation admitted that the hellbat nerf affected his drop. BUT I do believe that Innovation is well capable of still doing great ! The future will decide. I will cheer for him

It's funny when people say that because Bogus was actually very late to the hellbat punch so to speak and he was still very effective, but people seem to forget that.
I don't know which prediction is more bold. The idea of Maru not advancing out of groups (something I figured) or Bogus having a similar fate. Any given Sunday boys.

Technically everything you said is correct.
1. Innovation is definitely above average
2. Innovation definitely knew how to use hellbats
3. Everyone fades into mediocrity. Boxer, Yellow, Reach, Nada, oov, July, savoir, Bisu, etc. No one is dominant forever, and even legends retire and hang up their mouses, to make way for the new generation of players. The only question is how long one can stay relevant. I think Innovation is far from becoming irrelevant.
