Sweet, I was just looking for a players list earlier. Go Naniwa! Wasn't sure if he'd be making the trip back from KR prior to WCS commitments
|
You can remove ForGG from the favorites list. Still visa issues, he'll come back at least one week after DH. =/

Now like usual DH is the complete opposite, sure there are matches early, but the most important ones are late, very late even. I cannot see how you could possibly think this is a shitty time for Americans with a European tournament. All the 'important' matches are in the afternoon for the US. The other way around, that is shitty time.

It's a Tier 2 WCS points event right? I guess It's because of the weak player pool.

I guess, Blizzard might still change the points for Bucharest, we´ll see, when it comes along.

Really looking forward to this, it's actually a very strong pool of players though I feel it could use some more Americanos. I'm going to say Jaedong is the favourite to win, because he's always a safe bet to perform well, but I can see several people taking this.

I do not see Icooktacos in this list. This tournament is a fraud.
|
ForGG is back to dreamhack !
ITS TIME.
|
A more low-key event this time around, which is fairly disappointing, though I think it provides the opportunity for HyuN to finally win a tournament. Ro4 is probably going to end up something like this: HyuN, LucifroN, Jaedong, NaNiwa. Still, I've always thought DH events are amongst the best of the best in StarCraft, and I'm certain the same will apply here.
|
Looks like a tournament that could be taken by one of the stronger Europeans if the stars align. Though the Korean line up of Hyun, Jaedong, JYP, TheSTC, Stardust is decently strong and should be considered the favorites, it's still possible. Looking to be an awesome event, as DHs usually are
|
One thing I always love about dreamhack is how they really focus on local players. Good to see Alastor and the durans, if a foreigner wins it'll be Luci

So the Korean invaders include Yugioh, TheSTC, JYP, Jaedong, Hyun and Center (also Stardust and ForGG I guess, although I see them as a European defenders now ^^)
Also what’s the situation with Monchi? The last time I heard he had what sounded like a very serious medical condition (like life threatening serious). Since he’s been competing in the WCS EU qualifiers and is now confirmed for DreamHack is it safe to assume he’s all okay now? Hope that is the case.

gogo diestar! and stardust

pretty weak lineup, but at least there's a slight chance of Naniwa winning. HyuN, Stardust, ForGG, and JD are the only players in Naniwa's way imo.
But still stoked to see the likes of Luci, Vortix, Happy, Bunny and Dashi try and get something done offline!
oh and monchi, just to make sure he's still alive.

I think Naniwa has a good chance to win. He beat Lucifron in WCS EU, he's beaten JD in both MLG Spring and Dreamhack, his PvP is strong since he's beaten Dear in MLG, and I think he can take HyuN.

He might be a bit inconsistent, but he secured the win vs MVP in ATC a few days ago, so I could´nt entirely count him out either. On top of that, he is mouz, so I am biased.

Is anyone else a little miffed that we always see the same handful of players at foreign events? It seems its always the same few korean players as well, most of the time not including any of the powerhouses.
Maybe I am alone in this feeling but it makes me a lot less enthusiastic about watching this weekend, I feel like I have seen a lot of these play against each other so many times, and unlike GSL its not the best players in the world and top competition.
Just my opinion thought I would throw out my 2 cents.
