MacSed and TheStC reach Premier League Season II Match Results from Live Report Thread by juicyjames. + Show Spoiler [Overall Results] +
1. | MacSed | 2 - 0 | 2. | TheStC | 2 - 1 | 3. | Goswser | 1 - 2 | 4. | Heart | 0 - 2 |
After being embroiled in some controversy during season one, the Chinese StarCraft II scene finally has its first Premier League player. Fittingly, it was iG.MacSed who made the breakthrough, previously having come within one map of making it through the qualifiers and into the Premier League.
Despite being put into one of the more difficult Challenger League groups, MacSed made that he wouldn't let another opportunity slip away. After taking out a top 16 finisher from the previous season in coL.TheStC in his initial match, MacSed went on to face the American Zerg Mill.Goswser who had come off of defeating AX.Heart. Earning one win from his laser-toss composition and grabbing another with a blink-stalker all-in, MacSed was able to prevail by a 2 - 1 scoreline to secure a spot in the Season 2 Premier division.
That set up a final match between Goswser and TheStC, who had defeated Heart in the losers match. Unfortunately for Goswser and North American fans, TheStC's early pressure was just too strong, and he was able to go into the mid-game with an advantage in every game. This led to a relatively easy 2 - 0 victory for TheStC, as his relentless infantry + widow mine attacks overpowered Goswser. With the victory, TheStC progressed to the Season 2 Premier League alongside MacSed, while Goswser is forced to spend one season in the Challenger League.
Currently Qualified for WCS America Premier League Season II (18/32):
HerO, Alicia, CranK, puCK, MacSed
mOOnGLaDe, Snute, Revival, Scarlett, NesTea, viOLet
Ryung, aLive, Polt, DeMusliM, Apocalypse, theognis, TheStC

MacSed fighting! You might stall him, but you ultimatively cannot deny his place in the premier league! :D
|
Really happy to see some chinese representation in premier league, it's well-deserved and should bring a substantial viewer increase
|
Awesome, love both of them !

The "Brackets on Liquidpedia" link is redirecting us into 2013 WCS Season 1 Europe group stages.
OP: I'm happy to see some neither Korean or European influence in the NA scene, let us get make the NA scene the scene which accommodates the SEA region! AKA "The North American and SEA WCS"

MLG finally got portrait picture of Macsed up, that was cool
before for the chinese players there was just the black silhouette
nice to see players from "new" countries make waves in SC2, when its has been predominately Korea/US/Europe

I am very happy for iG and the chinese scene that MacSed got into the premiere division. Good luck to him!

Haha, I actually wouldn´t mind if WCS NA was the most diverse tournament, as long as ro8 is not all Korean. Make the upsets happen!
