The problem of protoss is unintended consequences from hell. What a game it would be if every match-up played like ZvT, where every moment there is opportunity for aggression.

Awesome show today, many good and interesting points have been made, maybe Blizzard wants to take a look at that.
Great job!

I second that. And I also hope that tournament organizers will start hiring casters more based on game knowledge (or knowledge of the scene).

Unfiltered points covered:
Protoss not taking tournaments because of racedesign
Casters missing keypoints in games
Barcodes inducing depression
No Regionlock - killing foreign scene
B.net Chatsystem
I think it was in that order, I love it when pros/casters actually speak their minds and not just accept it that things are in a certain way and stop caring.

Great meta episode! TLO and Ret really shined in this discussion. There were several points I wanted to nudge my imaginary friend to make sure he is really listening to all the great points that were being made.

Actually as far as I understood it, it was like:

Protoss not taking tournaments because of racedesign
Casters lacking game knowledge to convey passion for the game
Barcodes making laddering even more frustrating
B.net unsocial, Chatsystem bad

I don't think they really discussed the regionlock thing, though I admit I haven't been in front of the screen the whole show. Harstem did mention that he wish Code A would have some prize pool for the last finishers (even if it's just 150€), since it would motivate more people.

edit:

You can't have an even split every week. It was all Zerg this week and no protoss last week. Where are my protoss that are not the host?

At the end of the day, interesting guests are what matters. What race they play is secondary.

Oh I thought Idra was on this episode. I didn't get to catch it and I am waiting for the MP3. At the end of the day, my point still stands though. Get who is available and who is interesting. Maybe if there is no one from a specific race on for a few weeks, make that a priority. But the rest of the time, fuck it.

I wonder how the players value team leagues. I think Ret was mentioning that, apart from DH and WCS, there are not enough events to display your skill and give a good show. But what about the team leagues? There is ATC and SC2L, which both have not few viewers. Also there are the weekly cups which easily also average over 1k viewers across all streams.

I really like how the players kept it super real, you could tell they were in it to tell their own opinion whatever the "community" thinks about it. Gj guys.
