A blizz poster on reddit hinted at something being done for the anniversary of BW coming out, I'd not lose hope yet.

Yay! I got mine today. They are awesome! I won't switch my portrait now for a while. :D

Kind of is silly that they're making these limited (instead of just available to everyone or play 10 games, and you get it) "and" not putting it in the front page of SC2 (when you log in) to show you how to get it (you can't get it in campaign, so if I had a casual friend who is playing the campaign and not noticing that you have to play a random online game to get it, they won't get it).
It's an easy achievement to get but that means new accounts won't get them (and the portraits are nice).
It's not a big deal but it'd be better (since it's easy to get one) if they just made the an achievement you get after playing any 10 games or whatever (so new accounts in the future can get them too).
Edit - I understand the whole "15 year anniversary, so that means limited time only" a bit... but it would still be nice if these would be just available (they could celebrate the 15 year anniversary thing by rewarding players, at any time instead of limited time, who play any 15 games of SC2 now or in the future >.>).
Edit 2 - Also these achievements are region specific. So if you play on multiple regions and want the portraits for all of them, remember to play for each and every region. (I always disliked this about battle.net. They do have the ability to make achievements global, like with any collector's edition or the beta portraits for example, so not sure if they can do the same for any FoS or achievement but if they can, that'd be neat.)

Why don't they do it like they do in WoW anniversaries? You get the reward for logging in during the period, no games required.

If you only play campaign are you really going to care about portraits that only you're going to see?

It doesn't make sense to me to have accounts that have 0 games show up but have all the online multiplayer achievements, portraits and rewards on them. Campaign achievements and rewards are the only real valid argument I could see because that's single player and who the fuck is going to play the campaign several times just so he can have the same narud portrait on 2-3 servers.
Pretty simple fix for all of this would be to just have the same account for every single server. So you basically get 1 ID, 1 set of achievements, global clans (WOW THIS WOULD BE COOL), 1 friend's list maybe not because you wouldn't be able to chat cross server (or can you). Everything except your match history and obviously your league border but hey maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to display all the different server leagues attached to your account.
But this would probably piss off all the smurfers who're paranoid that people might recognize their name that no one cares about.

Probably because they want people to play their game instead of just logging into it lol.

OMG awesome. I love all 3 of these and have no idea which I'll choose!
It would be awesome if they added other old portraits too like old Artanis, Fenix, old Stukov, Dugalle, and Duke. Old Adjutant would be really awesome.

To me who didn't really dicover StarCraft until the late 00's, the Protoss portrait is StarCraft 1/BW, since that's the cover art used on the vanilla+BW release that's been available for the last few years. I absolutely love it. :D

Yeah, and I don't think logging in is actually enough for the WoW ones. That would mean just getting to character select and then exiting again. You still have to actually play the game by entering the World of Warcraft with a character.

Are you actually hinting that you think the requirements for this are too hard? 0_o

Seems like playing a single game is a pretty big deal for a lot of people.
