this announcement is taking so long that Naniwa has probably already switched teams twice since the hype began.

Has Nani even been playing much HotS? If so, how's he doing?

He just won a Swedish cup prior to heading to Korea, he. Went 30-0 in terms of maps lost I believe

This is indeed it.

And no, we did not hear it first. It's a badly kept secret.

Meh, i'm much less interested now that I know he doesn't have Korean interests anymore. Theres not really much chance of him fulfilling his fullest potential from Europe.

He stated in his fanclub and in a Swedish twitter rant that WCS messed up all his plans and he was no longer going to play in GSL. I am normally the biggest faniwa ever, him leaving Korea and not being in a Korean practice house signifies defeat.

He said like 3 pages ago that he's going to participate in the first WCS and then go right back to Korea to practice. He still wants to be the best, but the guy has to look out for his career as well. Like he said, giving up an assured spot in WCS EU so he can play in the Code A qualifiers would be silly. I'm disappointed he has to leave Korea as well, but he still clearly wants to train there, and will do so.

Here's the post from a few pages ago:

"i went on a big rant ? i just thought the idea was pretty bad for alot of people. personally i would like nothing more than to play GSL, but to sacrifise a WCS europe seed, for the sake of playing the code a QUALIFIER. that would be very stupid.
I am not some person who just charges on without logic and only by heart like some of you think heh. i used to be alot more hot blooded in the past. but i dont say things i dont mean very often. i am still going to go to korea after WCS europe to continue practising I am not giving up hope of becoming the best i can be. if i did i would say so and i probably wouldnt play the game anymore sorry to those i dissapointed."

WCS is an ongoing year long event, that is supposed to be repeatedly yearly. I don't think there is an after WCS, except for short stints...

there are breaks, haha. which might last for quite a while if naniwa doesn't run super deep in tourneys. it's not like every single weekend there's a LAN for it

He went to Korea prior to (or around the same date as) the WCS Announcement, and was looking at getting into Code A qualifiers.
Now with the WCS structure he has a seed straight into WCS EU so he'll be competing in that for the first season.

That's my understanding of the situation anyway, but admittedly I haven't looked into WCS much.

Don't forget about the region lock, since he will commit to WCS EU he's locked in EU for the rest of the year.

Makes sense, that was a few days ago and he could've gone back to Sweden during that time. I'm getting so anxious for this team announcement.
