honestly the only difference between Naniwa and others is the fact that other people just hide their bm and act PC/fake on screen where as Naniwa just acts himself

So you mean others have a professional attitude and he doesn't.

One could argue that his willingness to move abroad in order to actually have a chance at competing with Koreans is a lot more professional than what most foreigners are doing.

Definitely a lot more professional than wallowing in second-tier NA because moving would "cut into my streaming money"

Naniwa definitely has his priorities set competitively.

Liquid would be great, they need a protoss!

But please not EG! Naniwa is too skilled for that!

The Proleague line-ups for Round 4 have been released and Naniwa isn't on any of them, so it seems very unlikely that he'll be on any of the Proleague teams (including EGTL). If he's been signed for a week or two, then I'd guess the team would have put him on the line-up and done an announcement by now. Looking a lot less like EG or TL.

This is if it was acer/axiom/WW/kespa/esf team, he'd be in their house. So it's gotta be egtl/another foreign team imo

Uhh I hope not. Axiom has such promise and they seem like a good bunch of kids. Throw Naniwa in there and the night is RUINED.

Isn't there a 'timeframe' where you can be on the team but you can't play? Just like Parting.

didn't people say the same thing about HuK being an over energetic BM kid?

to be fair i think foreigners just based that on his ceremonies vs idra which don't really mean anything lol.

Now if he only actually did the qualifiers instead of getting seed after seed after seed (i honestly lost the count) the whole "competing with Koreans" might actually have some more worth.

that might be a valid criticism if he took the seed and then left korea after he bombed out like numerous foreigners, but naniwa actually got deep into the GSL two times and continued training with StarTale/MVP for months.

you're just bashing him for no good reason. most pro gamers don't have the time and more importantly money to stay in korea just so they can have a low chance of getting through the qualifiers which are notorious for chewing code s players (and then obviously having to start from the hell of Code A).

see cArn's SC2 career on why this is something that isn't easy to do at all.
