I can't see the pictures at work, but just the idea of an eSports centric bar is really fantastic if it sustains itself (that's really my only concern). If this goes well, I can't wait to see more of them pop up elsewhere!
I'll be there next time I'm in berlin =)
good job to everyone involved david soe and artem all lookin good
I was there and it's awesome. Everyone who's got the opportunity should definately go check it out. The only thing this bar lacks is MK9 (but that's understandable).
You guys are truly crushing it; I'm so proud of you.
*tears* *salute*
I really hope this works out!

Just an idea but a bet a bar like this with would be a great place for some old arcade games. Gamers love being nostalgic and playing some old school arcade games is perfect.

i hope to be there for IEM world
I wish I lived in germany =(
I'll be stopping by this Saturday, gotta check out what all the fuzz is about Hope to see you guys there
that's so cool! well done guys
That's awesome, cool to see some well known personalities checking it out. Wishing you guys continued success!

I hope these start popping up in the US.

Well, as playing there is free, they rather make a living of people liking to drink some beers/alcohol with friends.
Good news ! Have fun, people of Berlin !
I hope the bar is larger than the one in Paris
One "Meltdown" in Paris, one in Berlin.
Where will be the next one ? London ?

Damn, I read "Meltdown Berlin" and missed the "SC" part of the "SC General" forum title on the sidebar, and was like holy shit, reactor meltdown in Berlin that's gotta be bad...
So this is doubly good news:D
Well don't worry, as far as I know there is no huge commercial nuclear power plant close to Berlin.
Next time I am in Berlin, I'll make sure to pay the bar a visit Based on the pictures, the place looks a little fucked up, though.
I am really really jealous right now. Great job guys, I wish the bar like this would happen in every other country.

Visiting Berlin this week... good time to notice this thread. I'll try to drag my wife in :D
Wow, It's only 4 subway stations away from me so close!. Esport in my region never would have thought. Definitely going to have a look there some time. The very first barcraft in berlin was very bad because of bad organisations I didnt visited one since then

I'll be in Berlin next year on a 15-week internship. Will certainly pay a visit.
Just been there for some MLG. Cool place and I will definitely stop by more often. Waited for a place like that for a while and now its there and just 10 Minutes from where I live. Hope the place is running well and that people will come on a regular basis.

Are there any plans for opening one in America at anytime in the future?
Yesterday I was in Berlin and I visited this place. I strongly recommend it and, hopefully, this idea of bar spreads out in other cities and countries.
Keep going!!
I'll visit it this summer! Can't wait!

A couple of Americans visiting Germany (July 2013), we made our way through the throngs of the people to finally sit our hineys on what I felt was an important waypoint (1 of my 2 goals for my trip :D) through Deutschland... Meltdown Berlin. It was a fantastic afternoon filled with much discussion about a myriad of topics centering around eSports but unlimited in scope -- we ranged our conversation from simple description of the bar to my compatriot all the way to the Vans Warped Tour. It amazes me that people from across the globe can enthusiastically engage one another in civil discourse about a myriad of topics when brought together by eSports -- this to me is the true passion and virtue of eSports. If you are an avid esports fan (I am assuming you are if visiting this site) and are in Berlin, Meltdown is a must stop. It is not far from the central tourist areas of Berlin and only takes about 10-15 minutes by subway (S-Bahn or U-Bahn / Underground) to be reached. The following are the photos I took and I hope you enjoy.
I only have one criticism that I am beginning petitions for -- Meltdown currently has a drink entitled "Cloud Kingdom" -- a map which deservedly has garnered such attention. In my own vain efforts of self and team aggrandizement, I henceforth ask that a drink be made and titled "Atlas". What do you say?

Greetings from Slovenia! I persuaded my girlfriend to visit the bar on our short trip to berlin. After spending the whole day shopping with her, she owed it to me. Although we could only stay for a short beer, it was totaly the higlight of my part of the trip. Nice staff, great ambience and big screens. I liked that you have small inhouse tourneys, nice watching it live. Keep up the good work! And for you guys who werent there already, go pay them a visit, its totaly worth your time!
As soon as I figure out how to get to this bar, I'm coming over!
I opened this thread and hoped that Berlin melted away from the face of the earth, now I am disappointed
Congrats to your Bar though

Maybe I'll stop by tomorrow once I figure out how the u-bahn works.
It works the same as the S-Bahn. If you have an AB ticket or something you can just get off the S-Bahn at like Jannowitzbruke or Hermanstrasse and then take the U-Bahn up to Hermanplatz.

I've only been here for a few hours. I took the bus from the airport to Rudow then U7 to Mockernbrucke (my hostel is 150m or so from that stop). I just said "Rudow?" with a confused look on my face and handed the bus driver money, now here I am.
How do I buy a ticket?
Yo Tofucake, I can meet you there if you want! I've never been either! I'm in Mitte, pm me if you wanna chill

is this bar actually open atm?
Considering this website: http://berlinbarcraft.de/meltdown-berlin/ it would seem that they are doing some renovating at the moment.. Well, if it's not closed, I'd love to go some time, because I have a free train ticket to Berlin.

But a facebook page that is updated regularly: https://www.facebook.com/BerlinMeltdown. There is stuff in there Calender on facebook, so I guess it's open

I was there, watched some WCS, went back to my hostel. Really annoying that I don't have data on my phone (stupid Lyca) or I'd possibly have been able to spam this thread until people showed up. I'm back at my hostel now though.
