Sponsorship is a new entity coming into e-sports which is awesome, hopefully they invest in other teams as well! It sounds like a large company too which will be awesome!

The upcoming large sponsor is not currently involved in sponsoring any eSports teams. This is a new entry to the scene.

Why are they announcing a community sponsor if they have a big mainstream sponsor in the pipelines? It feels to me that axiom is loosing hype traction among some of the fans (me).

Actually, Orly is Belgian, not Belarusian. A bit of a shame to see a mistake.

*EDIT* Seems like they've already changed that in the database itself

Calling it, sponsorship by Volkswagen Group. Every Axiom member rolls up to each event in a Porsche, Bugatti, or Lambo. That would be the largest of large sponsors.

I guess it will be an atypical sponsor that hasn't done esports before. TB talked a bit previously about approaching potential new sponsors based on his youtube analytics-- since the google algorithms were consistently selecting these specific businesses for his gaming vids, those businesses would likely be suitable as sponsors. :D

I love the simplicity of the website, but I wonder if it's worth it to add a log-in function so you can save matches, track players/tournaments, and the works. It would be kinda convenient but it would undoubtedly clutter the simplistic look.

Regardless, great website!

Hey guys - just wanted to drop in and say thanks so much for the positive reception to this partnership!

I've received a metric ton of feedback in the past 12 hours and am already putting a lot of it to good use by auditing and updating our player/team database as we speak - I have to admit that I'm a little embarrassed we had such glaring errors for the two things TB decided to highlight in the video :$ (rest assured, these have since been fixed!)

Despite some of the current holes in our player information (which will be corrected shortly), I can guarantee that our VOD database is solidly up to date - from the beginning, tracking and maintaining VODs in a near-instant fashion has been and always will be my #1 priority with the site.

Some new upgrades/features are coming very, very soon that will largely address many of the enhancements you all are looking for - I hope that we can not only meet but exceed your expectations in this effort to bring together the distributed network of Starcraft II media.

Thanks again for the support, & GO AXIOM!! 8D

This makes no logical sense.

Why would we announce a smaller sponsor before a bigger sponsor? Because if we didn't, the smaller sponsor would be overshadowed by the larger one. Also the sponsorship for SC2links contractually begins before the larger one.

Simple logic.

This will be very cool. I'm hoping that Axiom really gets to a point of ENORMOUS sponsorship.

I can't remember, is Axiom the newest eSF team? Or was it another?

It's pretty new, judging from liqupedia they announced their first player on September 26th. Clarity Gaming is newer, with their first announced player coming in at September 27th. Could be some newer unknown teams out there.

Why not think outside the box? I think it's really time for someone in the concrete-, gardening-equipment- or toothpaste-business to get involved with esports. There are only so much peripherals you can plug into your PC and energy-drinks you can chug, let's see some ads for decent kitchen utensils and fashionable table-cloths!

AXE is an incredibly likely sponsor. I know for a fact that they are in talks to create a reality tv show revolving around an eSports house.

Most unlikely, but completely understandable call: Hugo Boss. lol.

Outside the box = outside the demographic, which in turn gives poor ROI for the sponsor. You don't have kitchen utensils and table-cloths because the primary eSports demographic is 18-35 year old males.

There are still a ton of sponsors within that demographic that have not been tapped. Nobody needs to be thinking outside the box yet, they need to explore the rest of the box.

Awesome! I don't support the players on Axiom as I'm not a fan of theirs at all, but I do like Total Biscuit, and I do like eSports!

Hope this new sponsor is an awesome one and that this benefits eSports a whole bunch ;D

'Elegant simplicity' is our design motto - this shouldn't be an issue :D

I just posted a teaser shot of the new favorites/logins feature on our twitter @SC2Links - we're still in the process of finalizing the design changes, but we will have this released for you all very, very soon.

I wonder how much money sc2links.com is actually ponying up for Axiom. According to Alexa.com, sc2links is ranked #2,460,183 in the world for web traffic. Compare this to teamliquid.net which is #4,185

My guess is the owner of sc2links is independantly wealthy, and sinking lots of cash into marketing his site.
Terran it up.

Congrats Genna, TB, Husky, Ryung, Crank, and all the other players I can't remember off the top of my head. Sounds great.

I'm thinking the corporate sponsor will be a surprise. Someone with a vested interest in the target demographic, but who can be wooed by TB's smooth English voice. Someone that really, really understands the style needed for a tophat and monocle.
