Yesterday Karont3 announced a new player starting with the letter "C" in his account name, but against all expectations they signed the former LoL and Minecraft player Miguel Ángel “Chincheto” Salgado.
Official statement by Karont3 translated by me. My spanish nor my english is perfect so I apologize for mistakes.
Another great day for the club, today we present our third professional player on our roster. It's none other than Miguel Ángel “Chincheto” Salgado, who has decided to stop League of Legends and Minecraft to try out a career as a professional SC2 player.
After months of difficult negotiations, last weekend we came to an agreement about the monetary section of the contract.
As far as playing goes, Chincheto will live one week per month in the Moreno Durán brothers' house, to receive intensive training from Pedro "LucifroN" Moreno.
Obviously, without the help of Ozone Gaming, Versus Gamers y Twitch, it wouldn't have been possible to go through with this signing.
To be honest I have also no clue who that guy is but I'm already looking forward for this guy.
But if he does well he will get adopted by the parents of Lucifron and Vortix, just to keep the SC2 super powers of Spain in the house of the Durans :D
Also, the link in the OP clearly says "feliz-dia-de-los-santos-inocentes" @ BobKiller, u should have translated this too, this means "Happy Fools day" in the link ;D

Yeah he's playing Terran.
He already uploaded a video to his youtube channel of his first games. He's already in Platin. Click!
April fool's day and other fool's days are such a regrettable creation. People get all antsy in their pantsy and are blind to how facepalmingly unfunny their bad trolls are. I mean this as a general statement and I don't mean to pick on you in particular because as far as dumb trolls go this wasn't that bad. It's pretty bad imo, tho. edited for brevity

edit: since i'm not 100% sure it's a troll yet but i've seen speculation, i'd just like to add that if this isn't a troll, it's just as bad anyway. "Why make an announcement of an announcement when the guy is completely unknown to sc2 fans?" like... why would i ever click on karont3 news again? i have been karont3 fan b/c i've liked lucifron and vortix as players in war3 and sc2... but this kind of insanely stupid stunt (troll or adding noob) ensures that i avoid everything karont3 in the future.
why drive fans away? my brain hurts
?
Today is basically april fools day in Spain. They fooled the spanish community. If you are going to hate, hate me instead for doing this on Teamliquid.net.
Please try to be mature enough to not pick e-slapfights with random people who call your internet posts stupid, and I'll do the same. Edited because this is stupid.

(the rest to come tomorrow!!!!!!)" and then the next day write "ouch." It's a shitty joke and I believe you deserve for me to tell you that you suck for bringing it here.
lol what!? This is not the first and certainly won't be the last time a team/tournament/player makes such an announcement as part of their 'fools' national holiday.
How does one make money playing Minecraft? I was like "wtf, why are they mentioning minecraft? how do they think that will make me excited about him playing sc2?" now it makes perfect sense...
Hey there, thanks for the news, OP. Just because you mentioned that your Spanish and English isn't perfect, I thought I'd provide a better translation just for the hell of it. There are a few mistakes, and I thought this may help. If you want to post in the OP, feel free. To anyone looking for an improved translation here you go:

By the way, as far as the speculation of this being a Spanish fools day joke, it is indeed a joke. The day is called "Día de los santos inocentes," which literally translates to "Day of the Innocent Saints." Here is the link to the announcement of the joke. It's just the same announcement link from earlier with the traditional paper cut out of the Innocent Saint pasted over "Chincheto's" picture.
Another by the way, Chincheto means "a bother" in Spanish. So, this one was fairly obvious to those who have been to Spain and learned the language.
Again, OP, you should probably post this in the first post so that the confusion goes away
The 28th of December is the equivalent to April fools day in Spain. So this was indeed a joke, the guy even states that he will practice hard around 5 days per month with Lucifron to become a better player, and then goes on to compliment the Duran's family croquetas.
BTW "Chincheto" actually means "male tack". In spanish 'tack' translates as 'chincheta', which is of feminie form; it does not mean "a bother", at least not to non latin-american spanish speakers. The guy actually has a lot of subscribers in his youtube channel due to minecraft and LoL, and many of his fans were disappointed to learn that he was going to play SC2 full time (because they did not get it was an april's fool joke).
Over all, it's just a joke; I don't think the "anouncement of an announcement" was the best idea, but hey, I'm not Karont3's PR guy.
Ha, the bit about him being a pro-minecraft player made me so confused. really glad this isn't real or I'd have to spend the next week figuring out how to make money from minecraft.
I don't want to be a downer, but I really don't think this is going to work. There are no successful transfers from DotA other than BabyKnight, no transfers from LoL to SC2, and especially no transfers from Minecraft which isn't really competitive in PvP, it is mostly building. That said, maybe LucifroN can do soemthing to turn that around. Good luck to him. EDIT: It's a joke. That's dissapoint .
so is he actually joining karont3 or was the ENTIRE thing an april fools joke, or was it just the fact that it was a 'popular player' that was the joke
