EG.Jaedong - Page 43

Correction: Daily ESPORTS mistakenly reported earlier that Jaedong would return to Team Eight immediately should they find a sponsor. This was a misunderstanding; Jaedong's 1 year period with EG is binding.

It actually doesn't hurt to be able to say to someone you are negotiating with that "btw, JD still actually belongs to us, the moment you sign this line here, we get him back."

These last two days have been the largest roller coaster of Starcraft 2 emotions since Slayers disbanded.

I wouldn't say it "helps", would a sponsor rather having him on their roster, or have him contingent on a deal?

I love you Jaedong. You were the very first progamer I ever saw play (tied with Stork actually, but Jaedong was the first I saw win) I'll cheer for you!

Yeah, and in the meantime they get to save a ton of money by not paying his salary. It gives them a lot more time to work with before they are forced to disband the team. The remainder of Team8 just needs to really put everything they have into Proleague so they don't look too unappealing an option in the meanwhile.

I suppose if it is not an up-front exorbitant "transfer fee" EG can't get back then it doesn't sound as bad.
