Correction: Daily ESPORTS mistakenly reported earlier that Jaedong would return to Team Eight immediately should they find a sponsor. This was a misunderstanding; Jaedong's 1 year period with EG is binding. |

It's extremely unfortunate when you get called the "New York Yankees of E-Sports" for what would be the norm in any other established business market.

A super team is never a bad thing for a growing sport actually every pro sports league has them.
lakers-nba yankees-mlb packers,steelers,49ers,cowboys,patriots (depending on which generation you lived in)- nfl
i think its good to have a team that wins many titles and becomes the face of the league, it gives newcomers a team to root for

oh my..
could you get jaedong streaming on TL?
|
EG-Liquid team has a really large roster now. Maybe the players that aren't in the lineup can help fill all of the empty seats in the audience.

Why is being the Yankees a bad thing? They have the most fans, the most money, the most revenue, the best team in the history of the game, and they are always good. Look at it from that way.

I see they're never going to drop the NYY thing even though it couldn't be further from the truth.
Being compared to them nowadays is a joke. Heck, it's funny because thestar just wrote an article about their downfall today in the sports section, which is pretty ironic regarding my post the other day:
http://www.thestar.com/sports/baseball/article/1298341--yankees-brand-could-be-losing-its-appeal-griffin
Whereas the EG brand is actually going up.
The Yankees are old now and they are no longer the dynasty team everyone talks about.
Plus there are ten teams that have payrolls well over $100 million now and have better odds of winning the World Series compared to the NNY.

And people say EG doesnt just grab everyone. This is cool though, I'd like to see him get really good again.

I don't think it's a sad thing. EG is doing what any good team should be doing. They know how to run a team

They have an amazing roster, but at some point will have to consider either changing the status of certain people from "player/progamer" to "PR representative" or plain and simple let someone go. If not - holy cow, those sponsors need to be praised big time.
Nonetheless, amazing addition. Looking forward to see him perform at more foreign events. If you're talking about InControl. He probably does more to promote EG and all it's sponsors than any (other) player on EG. I agree seeing him in the player lineup compared to the monsters that are on there seems wrong, but I really really doubt InControl isn't pulling his weight (no pun intended). Hehe pulling his weight :D I could see HuK go, as well as IdrA. Or Machine Suppy and unfortunately Demuslim. :/ Cant tell if your serious, but IdrA isnt going anywhere idiot. If anybody its going to be machine/lzgamer I dunno about that, they're probably close to free and they still have a fanbase, however small it may be, they have one

Sad that people insult EG for being where everyone else should be.
It's like people want pro gaming teams to be broke, constantly losing players and on the verge of collapsing.
