Thousands of years ago the Mayans plotted a calendar that spanned countless generations to come. A calendar which predicted that one day the world would end. Scholars of today claim that day is to be the 21st of December, 2012.
Recent studies and research have brought to light a startling new understanding of the Mayan calendar. It is not the end of the world that is upon us within months, but the end of Wings of Liberty.
Brought to you by the team behind the Rumble in the Bronze events of the past two years, and hosted by Gameheart, "The End of Liberty" is a charity fundraiser event raising money for the Child’s Play charity through a collection of exciting show matches, custom games, and general Starcraft 2 shenanigans. The aim of this event is to provide the community with some entertainment during the holiday season, and to promote the wonderful work that the Child’s Play charity does, especially around this time of year. Last year our event raised over $18,000, and with your help, we can top that this year.
Casting the event will be Evil Genusis' Geoff ‘iNcontrol’ Robinson and Australian Shawn ‘Seguer’ Murphy. The duo will be accompanied by a cohort of other well known Starcraft 2 players, including, but not limited to:
mTw.Dimaga iSAxslav Liquid'TLO
And, as always, there will be a selection of more… ‘casual’ players joining the pros for some fun and games! Here's a taste of our schedule of events:

The End of Liberty takes place on the 16th of December between 4PM and 10PM EST with a short pre-show beforehand.
So with the end of the world looming, and the end of Wings of Liberty just a handful of months away, why not spend some of the precious few hours left with your fellow gamers, and help out some children who could use some fun in their lives during this time of the year?

Two-time Rumble in the Bronze loser checking in. I may no longer be in Bronze, but I'm still terrible, and I'm very happy and excited for this event to come around again!
This is going to be awesome! So glad to see you guys back at it again. Rumble in the bronze was totally sick and, just like this, it was for a great cause. Can't wait!
If you can't afford to donate, understandable as times are tough for everyone, please help by spreading the word on Facebook, Twitter, forums, and word of mouth. In fact, this event would be a great time to have a BarCraft! :D
I recall InControl casting a TvT where a player just sent marines one by one against a Banshee and lost a crapton of stuff. InControl then said something along the lines of "oh this is brilliant play, the pink player knows that the Banshee HAS TO run out of ammunition eventually and is sending his marines in until it does" and I died from laughter. Would this happen to be from any of the rumble in the bronze games? If so, does anyone know where I can find a vod of the TvT? I've tried looking but I couldn't find it.
Can't wait for this! I displayed my noobie skills two years ago in the rumble, and got off work just in time to catch the second half of last year's event. I'm looking forward to fun times again this year :D

In all seriousness the Mayan calendar isn't ending, it's just starting over. It's exactly like how our calendar restarts at the end of December with January. The current interpretation is that it predicts a rebirth. The way I would spin it is SC2 will be reborn with Heart of the Swarm!

Loved the Event, shame you didnt get enough viewers after the marathon events we've had over the past 2 months. Check it out, it's nice to see something light hearted going on in SC2 for a change.
Also the use of that Custom UI was AMAZING. I remember seeing the thread for it when it first came out and wasn't really fussed but then when i was watching this cast it took me about 5-10 minutes before i realized that you where using a different UI, that's how intuitive it is. I wish more tournaments use it.
