Haven't guessed it yet? Well, here it goes. Drum rolls, please.
We are pleased to welcome our very first Korean to the line-up, none other than the upcoming star Ju "Sting" Hoon.
Although Sting has just turned 18, he's already made a name of himself as one of the most established Terrans in the scene. The young and ambitious player has been team-less since August after leaving former team and our resident partners, New Star HoSeo, and has until now been actively looking for a new shelter. Needless to say that his notable achievements immediately fell upon our sights, and we believe that with his potential as well as our support both sides will take a mutual benefit in terms of personal growth.
Florent Dauvister, Head Manager, added a few words for the occasion:
"We have been looking to recruit a new Terran in Western Wolves as well as expand our line-up outside of Europe for a while now. It became very apparent to us that adding a Korean player to our line-up would be a very good addition to the team. Sting is a perfect pick for us, he is very talented, has a lot of potential and is a very friendly player who will fit perfectly in our line-up. We wish him the very best of luck in our organisation."
The man himself decided to give the following short statement:
"I am very glad to be joining such a presitigious org like WW! After looking for so long, I am glad to find a home that fits me so well. I am confident for the future, and hopefully we can all grow a lot together."
The Code A player will make his grand debut under our banner during IEM Singapore in just a week. Stay tuned for more news.
Really nice pickup there. I just hope they dont mess it up like a lot of other EU Teams that thought "wooow let´s get a korean, that will make our team so much stronger". Cost for traveling from KR to any tournament are very high in comparission to EU.

exactly, for example if they wanted to send Sting from Seoul to Dallas for an MLG it would be ~$1700 just for the ticket then you have to add in hotel, food, and travel to and from the event.
Congrats to Sting and WW. Really enjoyed watching Sting play in TSL 4. Glad to see that he has finally been picked up and hope to see him at future events.
nice, i came here, B/C, i remembered that the ro4 for TSL 4 was Hyun, Life, Creator, and sting, am i right about Hyun? anyway, good for him. its kinda funny, all 4 of those guys have really grown since TSL 4, i didn't know any of them ,cept creator, and i didn't think too highly about him.

Gratz Sting and WW, will be following you at IEM!
Haha, sorry. I didn't make the hints, but it had to be a little bit challenging. A lot of people still got it right.
Also, sorry we couldn't get the announcement show listed as a stream event. TL has regulations regarding what events qualify and unfortunately because we weren't handing out prize money to our players (I assume that was one of the shortcomings, there might be others) we didn't meet them. They just went by their rules.

Well. Western Wolves is a strong well organized European team with a long successful history. Sting will be just fine!

Thanks, that's a great compliment. Though Western Wolves as a team is still young, if we count the legacy of LLL there's a lot of history indeed. We split WW off from LLL and they're mostly independent now except for one or two staffers that can serve 2 masters because we want to compete at a global level with WW while sticking to our Benelux roots with LLL.
We have to thank our sponsors for allowing us to expand like that, it was a great vote of confidence that they believed LLL was a role-model team with a solid foundation. One step at a time we're going to climb the ladder until we've reached the top.
Sting was about as fast to get results as you can be. First tournament run under the new banner, first place. Great pickup and great decision to send him off to an offline event so early. I hope you will keep alive your partnership with NSH.

Haha inori switching to league is newsworthy but a rising team picking up a korean powerhouse terran isn't... Oh well, I already posted on the first page of this thread but sting is an absolute beast and whoever pulled the trigger on picking him up should be commended for their excellent taste in terran players.
It was just a mistake that this wasn't added to community news, it happens and no need to think anything else of it. Congratulations on the great addition to your team.

Nono, sorry man, that's not how I meant it, it's more of a "I told you guys this was huge!" No complaint, I'm just excited about the pickup and how big this is for the team. Oversights happen and I'm aware that announcement events like the one we had aren't things that should be put on the calendar either because there's no tournament/money on the line which is just the rules. Between dominating the fighting game end at DH and Sting coming of the starting line so amazingly, it feels like we're getting closer to the big leagues.
We got 2 EVO titles, dominated DH fgc, Fargo, StarNaN, SortOf, Ziktomini and that other player are extremely solid and getting better each event and now Sting blows up like this. It's exciting!

Congrats on the great pickup! I wasn't aware that WW is a split off from LLL. Also congrats for picking up some very good Benelux players for LLL!
