TL Attack 2012 Episode 3 will happen on Wednesday, Oct 31 7:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00). VODs will be made available quickly following the broadcast.
Our guest this week will be Thermaltake's Aleksey "White-Ra" Krupnyk. He is a walking catch phrase machine. People in China and Korea believe he is a simple farmer who plays in his spare time yet manages to beat Boxer on TV. He shoots guns and drinks often and is from the Ukraine. White-Ra.
White-Ra in his natural state, happy and White-Ra.
In case you missed previous episodes with Liquid`Sheth and coL.qxc here are the VODs:
Hosts
As usual our hosts will be EG.iNcontroL and ROOT.CatZ. Last week they watched qxc have an easy time, especially on Megaton Extreme. So far we've had a Zerg and Terran, and we're about to show our first Protoss on TLA 2012. We'll see how White-Ra does!
ROOT.CatZ EG.iNcontroL
Do you want to play?
OK so do you want to play against the special guest on the show, in front of potentially millions of tenths of hundreds of thousands of viewers? Here's your chance: create a cheerful in true TL Attack spirit using this template:
You can put anything you want on it, about any subject (the players, host, show, TL, ESPORTS in general, etc) and we'll even show it on stream before you play your match. Just post your cheerful in this thread with your battle.net ID (character + code) and we'll invite the winners during the show, so make sure to watch.
Like last week, the show will be half HotS, half WoL. We'll also be selecting potential opponents for White-Ra in the normal, random trivia way.
See you guys next Wednesday!
TeamLiquid Attack! is a fun, casual event where a popular professional StarCraft 2 player plays custom 1v1s against community members. Typically, the player attempts creative or non-serious strategies while sharing friendly banter with the hosts. The show is a great way to get to know the personality of the popular player that might not normally be seen in serious ladder games or in tournaments.
Previous episodes of TL Attack can be found on TeamLiquid's YouTube Channel, featuring guests like Sheth, TLO, ThorZaIN, Naniwa, DongRaeGu, and CatZ.
Also I hope DRG can do it again. Hot Bid talked to him about it (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNN_mHDCWD8) so I hope it happens. Catz+DRG would be so funny since theyre friends.
Yayyy! I'm still chuckling after the TL Attack with Sheth. Some of the challenges they gave him made me sad, but sad in a laughing my ass off sort of way.
if you guys handicap white-ra to play 3 1v1s with 2 gates, 1 robo at max and the rest of the production facilities have to be stargates I will be really happy :D
Hahaha the best part is when WhiteRa is telling stories and the guys are all serious and nodding and you can tell they have no idea at all what he is talking about.
Maybe if Terran immediately walls off both sides with command centers and turned them into ranged PFs, then started other unit production? I'm not sure, White-Ra looked so dominant :D
I love how when WhiteRa doesn't know the English word he will just say the Russian word with English-like pronunciation as if makes it easier to understand :-D
Just in case anyone's wondering what he actually meant when talking about 20 people living in a 'camera' - he was saying that in Ukraine there is one of the oldest prisons in the world which is now way overcrowded and cells designed for 4 people are used to hold 20. The word 'camera' has a meaning of 'prison cell' among others in Russian.
so good, i think the lack of communication made this even funnier without crossing any lines of offensiveness. gg whitera figuring out megaton extreme in literally 1 go.
Really like these, however I think there needs to be some restraints in the last match of the day (Catz, Incontrol and guest) vs randoms, because its just a rofl stomp if it's on a normal map, since they are better players and can communicate.
Huge respect for Geoff on this. I had absolutely no idea what White-Ra was saying most of the time but Geoff seemed to understand him. Or maybe he was just bluffing really well. Either way, that's really impressive. Awesome episode overall and I guess unsurprisingly White-Ra was really funny. And Geoff, you're totally ready to travel to any east european country and understand their "english".
