It is with regret that Team Legion announces the cancellation of our partnership with ZeNEX following their merger with StarTale. Team Legion was operating under a preliminary partnership contract with ZeNEX which expired at the end of ESEA season 11. We intended on making the partnership official after this period with plans to provide gear sponsorship and travel benefits. Unfortunately the situation with ZeNEX required a more profound fiscal measure. In addition, ZeNEX did not communicate the merger to Team Legion until after the merger was announced. This mistake took place without malicious intent, but we feel it requires a brief explanation.

Originally the news was not supposed to revealed this early
We were in dire need of money and security so I was negotiating with StarTale as soon as the preliminary partnership agreement expired.
After we had come to an agreement I was planning on speaking with Team LgN
Unforunately the article was published too soon and it was out of my hands

Sometimes this happens. Maybe next time only the right people will be informed or it will be made clear when this should and can be announced. Good luck to both sides.

Understandable given the difficulty of translated between people who often have zero knowledge of each others languages. I don't think Legion loses too much from this and Zenex gain an awful lot.

Actually LgN has a korean player on the team that im sure wouldnt mind translating if need be. Plus, most korean sc2 players understand most basic english.

Sorry to hear about this, the scene doesn't really need any more examples of poor communication between Korean/foreign teams.

I did all of the translating work.
All conversations were carried out through the ZeNEX manager, to me, to our LgN manager, back to me, to the ZeNEX manager, etc. etc.

I think he was referring to the skill level of Legion's players being far below any Korean team - in the sense, there is no benefit to the Korean team.
Maybe Legion had plans to help them financially? Only way I can see them benefit a Korean team as well.
