I'm actually expecting the nonKespa players to go all out, since losing to players with much less experience would be kinda embarrassing.

Considering many of them have reached GM level on Korea server, you don't seem to know what you are talking about.

Many players are able to get GM level on Korea server... IdrA was like rank 60 or something iirc.

Yes, and idrA is really really f-ing good. What is your point ?

He's saying that a foreigner who has barely been putting up any results at all for the past 3 months can get into GM on the KR server.

KeSpa players are just gonna get buttfucked, this is way too early for them to start even competing in code A level play. Flash and BaBy are probably the only ones who can maybe barely make it past round 3 or 4 of the Code A qualifiers, wayy too early to embarrass them like this.

The question is who is Gom gonna send, I think we all realize how bad TvZ is right now for pros so wouldn't it be an easy win to send in Symbol against the terrans... Seriously the scariest players besides Jaedong play Terran so for Symbol it would be an "easy" win. It would be a great game though. I think that if they put in Inori in a PvP it would be all but over for anyone he played. My point here is that Gom can easily win this but is that the point? If that is not the point, what would be the point of the showmatch?

My guess is this is to introduce GSL fans who only watch sc2 to the Kespa players. GOM may send out someone good, but not the best, like Revival, so it won't be a rollover. Of course, if that is what they do it kind of defeats the idea of a show match, showing off the best from each side. Who knows what they will choose to do lol

Actually Effort and Roro are the best, currently.

Do not underestimate GSL players' talents.

However I admit that many BW players' gifts have already proved.

You're wrong.

If you are High Masters/GM on the Korean server (all the BW pros are pretty much this), then you will be able to take games off Code S players regardless.

That's a ridiculous claim. Have you watched the BW games? They look like high master/low grandmaster games. They don't know the current metagame, there is no chance in hell for them.

So because idrA doesn't win stuff all of the time the kespa players will lose to the GSL players. I don't get it.

idrA is top GM on NA and GM on KR.

It is funny how ppl like you guys keep using the "omg he hasn't won anything lately and therefore he must be bad" argument. It doesn't work like that. There is a whole bunch of players at the absolute top who hasn't showed any special results in a while. That doesn't make them bad. Why is that ?

Well, there are only so many tournaments , and each tournament can only have one winner ...

Agreed. The difference in skill between High Masters and Code S is astronomical.

Yeah boo hoo. How do you expect the Kespa players to ever catch up if there's no pressure on them to do so?

Sometimes the best method is to just push someone into the deepend and see what happens.

As someone in the thread said earlier, I don't think Kespa or the Kespa players would have agreed to something like this unless they were confident they had a good chance at winning. Maybe they've been having some success on the ladder or there's an agreement with GOM to only use Code B/A players or something. They obviously wouldn't have agreed to these games just to get stomped.

If I refer a friend to go watch GSL in 1 hour 35 minutes he can do so paying nothing so thus GSL is free.
