At MLG Anaheim, I conducted interviews with Flash, Jaedong, Stork and Soulkey before the KeSPA exhibition tournament had started. Each interview has relatively the same questions regarding their thoughts on StarCraft 2 in general, how they felt going into the tournament, coming to MLG/America and their reaction of it so far, Heart of The Swarm, and their thoughts on the future of SC2 eSports. There's some additional questions including to Flash and how long he realistically thinks it'll take him to be as good as he is in Brood War, and Jaedong's thoughts on what NaDa told me in an interview last August about becoming Top 3 in the world.

Flash:

Jaedong:

Stork:

Soulkey:

how many more times are you going to ask them to compliment american fans

sorry, I appreciate the work you do and I'm sure the rest of the interview is great but that question is getting really old

i like the interviews but considering your interviewing players like jaedong, flash, stork you really could have asked them some tougher and more interesting questions, alot of them were quite generic

other than that it was fun to watch
In theory yes, but theoretically, no.

I liked the way the dubbing of the translations turned out, it works well for these kinds of pre-recorded interviews. Good stuff.

It's getting really tiresome to hear the ''How do you feel about the american fans?'' type of questions. Too much of that, and it always gets the same generic answer. Other than that, good stuff. Thanks a lot.

Only had a short time each player, sorry they were not more lengthy, and included a lot of the usual "How was your time in America" questions. Wanted to ask Stork about the players union, but was hard to translate.

Yeah Jaedong! He'll be taking revenge on Flash in SC2.

Wow just have to say the work put into these videos.. the editing is amazing. Not saying it's complex but it makes a big difference letting you see the players speak but not spending half the time listening to Korean.

Really great interviews. Would have been interesting to see what the other four players would have to say. I'll be excited to see how they progress in SC2.

Great interviews! Thanks Slasher!!!

I really like the fact that we didn't have to wait for the translations, and that they were dubbed It made watching the videos a lot smoother.

Agreed on the dubbing, best way to view these sorts of things by far. I'm fine with the questions, it's just great to hear from these guys. Well done.

Jaedong saying he'll be #1. Quantifying that, he's saying he'll (eventually) be better than Symbol, Nestea and Drg. Of course current prediction may not hold, but that's really exciting

The best part of kespa switching to SC2 is the amount of personality we are being exposed to. I have been a huuuuge jaedong fan for 4+ years now, and now with all these interviews I can only love him more and more <3 <3.

In my opinion, I think Jaedong is the most excited/confident/optimistic about the switch. Jaedong hwaiting!

Thank you Slasher for these interviews.

In any case we have to bear in mind that these players are competitors. Sometimes during interviews they will say specific things in order to mislead / confuse their opponents. I can't seem to find the link but if I remember correctly Flash once said that he enjoys the "battles" and the mindgames that take place outside the game. Anyway we ought to take their balance opinions with a grain of salt.

Totally get what you're saying. Just meant that we should wait a bit for these guys to get accustomed to SC2 before they can answer thoroughly on any balance issues. Don't think it'll take too long.

wheres bisu?

Really cool interviews! Fuck yeah Jaedong#1

It's very nice that the part where the translator translates to korean is cut and that the english translation is heard at the same time as the korean answer. Everyone should do that if its not live, at least for formal interviews like these.

I agree on the first part but 2nd is just plain wrong. I want to hear them and not some other guy. Get subtitles and call it a day.

When Jaedong wins his first GSL/MLG/DH/IEM/NASL or w/e, I will cry tears of joy.

I like the translation style in this. It's more fluid and less time consuming so you don't get hung up on one question for too long and it's really well done. I hope Gamespot keeps doing it like this because these are reallllllly good interviews.

As long as you can hear their voice talk behind the english part I dont get why you would want that unless you speak korean.
When I see professional videos and an english conversation is dubbed to german it annoys me, but thats cause I speak/understand english.
I really dont see any point in hearing only their voice if i dont understand what theyre saying anyways.
