[–]Quantic_decemvre 4 points 4 hours ago* I simply submitted a letter of intent about a 6 weeks ago after Quantic had publicly announced that they are looking for staff and players. Based on that i was picked for a live interview with the manager and based on that i was picked for yet another interview with the COO; there were also some replays and games involved. I was never given much information regarding the other players that were interviewed at the same time, other than that there were quite a few and some known names as well. I know some of the names but i can't tell you for obvious reasons. I can say that my professional outlook and the way in which i approached them was important. I don't think any manager will give a second look at a submission that looks like it comes from a 13y old. I'd rather not talk about my skill level but let future results speak. I can say that submitting a great number of replays against top players was a considerable reason why i was accepted. I hope that answers your question.
was skeptical about the pick but loved your answers ^^ best of luck to you dood =) I knew about this move because of deathangel!\!

It might be you who don't know who he is and not necessarily that he isn't "known" Inform yourself, that's why they made an article.
I'm kinda in NoGasfOu's place, I've definitely heard of him and I have seen his name on the streamer links, but is there any definitive game he has played where we can really get the gist of his play style? Kinda like if one wanted to see Empire.ViOlet's most amazing showing, one would pick something like his double nydus strat that he used during last years redbull training ground. I guess my post is basically, is there a video I can see of him absolutely showing his mettle? EDIT: by his place I mean the first part of his post, not the second, I totally understand picking up and developing darkhorses, much like x6.Suppy.

All new people who want to become progamers run into a catch 22 scenario.
They can't play fulltime because of lack of income if they dont either work/go to school They can't become better at a fast enough rate because they can't play full time.

There are some exceptions to your rule; some people out there are just "made of talent" or they have very high IQ. While stephano is out of school he still doesn't practice anywhere near the amount of daily hours that the top koreans practice.
Lucifron is attending university but he just picks up the game for 2 days and knocks out stephano. Mondragon also comes to mind. And Protosser, a finnish (he comes from Finland) top 16 finisher at this DreamHack is only 15 and obviously in school.

Why do a lot of people say this?
Why don't they keep doing what they're doing, providing support to good players, they don't need to be known now, because if Quantic was right in their scouting then they've just picked up a cheap player who is really good. Not everyone who is good is known.

Going to agree with this. =D
